Richie

I'd probs try to buy a company, a house, a car, bank the rest then live off the interest from the company / bank. Keep the rest of the money for the next generation, if there will be any :P

Oh, no one won the £56 million last night! It's £67 million this Tuesday.

I'd completely renovate the family home, go on holiday with friends and family and invest in a few things. Chucking it in the bank and living off the interest is impossible these days, too heavily taxed.

Depends really, quite a big difference between 14 million and 140 million :P But I'd definitely buy a house, a car - then invest the rest into something or open a business.

I'd give my family a few million each to spend as they please, financially help out close friends.
Donate money to charities I like, animal charities, national/international poverty charities and cancer/illness charities.

Admittedly, the rest of the money would be spent selfishly.

I'd buy nice properties around the UK, the US, Canada and Australia. And rent them out when I'm not in them.
I'd invest £2 million into a business or company in the U.S. so I can get an investment immigration visa (green card) so I could live there when I feel like it.
I'd go on lots of expensive holidays, around the world.
I'd do an intense driving course to get my licence ASAP (my brother did something like that) and buy a new car or two. Something expensive.
Mostly, I'd save a lot of it and lift off the Interest. I definitely wouldn't squander it. I don't see the point in buying numerous cars or silly things like private jets which would cost half a Euro Millions win. I'd still continue my education and all that, if just for something to keep me occupied, like I'd probably study abroad and stuff.

I'd travel all over the world and just live lol. Wouldn't have to worry so much!
Obviously I'd give some of it to my parents too, they can do whatever the hell the want with it. :P
I'd also probably go to Orlando for a few months :¬:

I'd buy me a few cars, my mum and dad an amazing car of their choice, my Grandma a Jaguar she's always wanted. I'd buy my own place, but totally do up where i'm currently living for my mum and dad. I'd buy the extension for my Aunty's house she has always wanted and have the inside done up. I'd then take me and my girlfriend on holiday, and then book one for the whole family. I'd treat my girlfriend to whatever.. a car, clothes, nights out, meals, and we'd live in the house i'd buy. The rest i'd use to live off to buy whatever I want... Maybe try gain some interest on it if I could. I'd also give some money to charity :)

If it was say, the £126,000,000 jackpot, I'd split £6,000,000 with all my close friends and relatives (I hate having odds and ends). Buy a hotel some place, preferably with decent internet, and move all of my willing friends and family, and their close family, probably cost about £500,000-£1,000,000 for the size I'd want. Chuck £9,000,000 into paying the bills, should last a substantial amount of time. Leaves me with £110,000,000, I'd talk to a financial advisor and chuck £5,000,000 - £10,000,000 into investments or something, leaving me with a nice round £100,000,000 to split into £25,000,000 to spend and £75,000,000 to put into bank account to mature.

SPEND IT. if i won a million i'd buy a car (nothing gr8 i am too weary to have a sports car) and just spend the rest as i see fit. buy a house when i get out of uni so i don't need to worry about a mortgage n stuff.

if i won the jackpot... i'd probably do the same and give my family a lot of it because there's no way i will ever need £126 million or whatever the jackpot is. wouldn't invest any of it because it's pure greed investing it when u have that much anyway. it's like that guy from westlife who made a fortune for being a singer but NO, always wanting more, put it all into property in ireland and we all know the situation there now!!!!!!!!!! gutted u greedy idiot

It's not greed as much as it is good sense. A house will still be a house after inflation but X million will be worth significantly less after 50 years.

Also to all the people who want to donate to charity: if you actually give a damn then set aside a lump sum and put it in a savings account and don't touch it until you die. That way you'll be able to donate much more and benefit more people. Sure you won't live to see the credit but you shouldn't be donating for a sense of self-righteousness anyway really.

Indeed, and to add to this: quite a few charities aren't all that interested in lots of money - they would rather people volunteered.

Am I the only one who'd hate to win the lotto? The achievement wouldn't be there. I don't know, I'd like to earn my money. It would be like someone giving me a degree without working for it. Just my 2 cents though.

I suppose it depends what you do with it. If you use the money to invest in peoples dreams, help out in the community and generally use it for selfless reasons then there could be some sense of achievement. Lottery money seems like money best shared rather than locked away in some safe in a bank - not like you can live off the interest these days anyway :P

That said, if you opened up a business and it became successful, would you find it an achievement? I probably wouldn't in some areas, simply because you have the lottery winnings to fall back on if it had gone wrong.

Going by the current jackpot of £105m I'd give each member of my "home" family and my dads side of the family £1million (even if I dislike them slightly), ignoring my mothers side as they have been complete ********s to my mother. Though I'd do this clearly stating that they should never come to me for money again, might sound mean but I don't want people constantly asking me for money. This leaves me with around £89m. I would most likely keep £15m in investments such as gold and housing leaving me with £74m. I'd then probably use £4m for university costs, a fairly nice car + a few years insurance and just buying **** I really wanted. I'd also, if I knew others who wanted to, buy a few of those Virgin Galactic tickets so I'll minus a £1m or so extra leaving me with £69m. I would then probably invest in business, perhaps pay for some cleaning and repairs around my town (as it's starting to become a **** hole). I wouldn't give any to any form of charity as I really don't trust they would use it very well, and should I feel that action is needed anywhere I would go and do it myself.

Are we talking like 140M?

If so, I'd get myself a nice house, and one for my parents as they hate where they live, and properly give a load to my parents and sister, then generous amounts to my immediate family.

Then I'd start planning my wedding nice and early so me and my boyfriend can settle down and then we'd travel the world and go to every F1 Grand Prix for the season :P

Then I'd buy so many clothes and realise I'd still have too much left over (Even after getting my tennis court put in my garden) that I'd just have to give a load to charity to ease the guilt of my new found paradise.

Although, none of that would be enjoyable without my man, all of that must include him, so I'd rather have him than the money :P

Buy my parents a new house, a holiday home in California and each of them a new car, as well as one for myself. Invest some into starting a business and some into stocks. Then put the majority of what's left into banks and live off the interest.

The couple who won the jackpot have made themselves publicly known. They're hoping to spend some on charities to do with children and spend a lot on friends and family. Basically, they aim to share it.

I imagine that's what most people would do to be honest - share it. As for charity, quite a few charities just want volunteers rather than money these days.

Hmm..
buy a reasonable sized house - Not a mansion or anything silly like that.. I'd get lonely in there :'(
buy nice things such as good furniture and a good car
get quite a few pets, preferably dogs woo :3
give my close family members 1m each. distant family like, 250,000
give some to charity
take 100,000 of it and go to vegas ;) i'm sure I'm not gonna miss the 100,000 as compared to what money I'd have left, it's almost nothing.

Spend the rest on things like food etc (basically save it all)

148m lottery tickets

Technically, this is quite a stupid idea. Frankly, not many lottery prizes are going to be bigger than 148m, and even if you bought a ticket for each combination, you would only win 10 jackpots in the lotto and 1 jackpot in the euromillions.

Even if you did win a bigger jackpot of the euromillions, you still risk sharing the prize with someone and winning less.

Of course, you probably only meant your answer as a joke, but it's a really silly idea to waste all your money on the lottery again :)

As for what I would by? Everything I've ever wanted really :)
