Howdy folks!

Your feedback on my sphinx (or sfinks as some of you learned during the Danish lesson ;)) gave me such a positive feeling that it has encouraged me to show you another room. Dam dam dam!

This room was tough to build. First of all the furnitures was impossible to find and I had to buy the majority of the pura modules in the catalogue.

During the time I built the room there only existed two pieces of the flag of the United States of America (Stars and Stripes) on the Danish hotel - this is due to the flags by accident came in the catalogue for 5 minutes in 2005 - and the two owners had stopped playing Habbo for about two years ago. I searched for months with no luck until I some day randomly saw one of the owners standing in a trade room. He was visiting the hotel for 5 minutes just to check out how things was hangin' - yes, I am so lucky - and i got the flag. It was really expensive but worth it! A year later or so all the flags has become permanently avaible in the catalogue.
I also faced problems with the number limitation of furnitures in the room and that is why i chose not to add any plants in the garden.

For about a year ago i received a personal email from the leading staff of the Danish hotel telling me that he loved this room and that he sent a picture of it to Sulake. Nothing special has happened since then but it is still a nice feeling when your work gets appreciated.

I received the pura badge (the P) for this room in a room building competition.

Enough talking! Here is my version of the White House (Det Hvide Hus):

I have not made the inside of the house yet. Do you think i should?

Here is a close-up picture of the flagpole which I am really proud of having constructed by myself:

Feel free to use the idea.

Tell me what you think!

Best regards

Lackey

Nice job! Would you be able to add any windows or anything to the building to make it a bit more realistic? great work though :D

Actually the blue pura modules in the walls are supposed to be windows - can you see them now? :D.
I tried to keep the style and stay pura almost the whole way.

Yeah, both getting the furnitures and building it took a lot of time. Try to imagine my satisfaction and relief when i was done building it. :D
And thanks!

I think you should see the room directly on Habbo in order to notice all the details :)

Ooh, the flag pole is a really nice idea. I'm never too keen on houses purely made out of Pura chairs but it's actually a nice room. Well done. :)

Looks fantastic although I would have used a darker colour module for the windows as I found it hard to notice them when I first looked at your room. Brilliant way of creating the flag pole, really good job.

Actually a darker blue pura module has been added to the catalogue since i built it. I am just not sure if I am going to rebuild it :)

And thank you all for your feedback!

A lot of effort has gone into this, so well done clearly.

But If I'm honest, I hate full pure buildings, especially the texture. It seems very outdated to build w white house considering with the amount of type of walls these days.

I am aware of that pura is no longer the best choice for building but it was once, and I kinda like the idea of my room representing that period of time. To be honest I enjoy watching oldschool rooms where they for example used carpets as water because the water patches were not avaible during that time. My room was built in 2010 and no better options were avaible. :)

Do you mean that I should take the blue pura modules out so it would look like an open window? Hmm... not sure about that ;)

Thank you all for the feedback!
And yes, building this really tested my patience. I had to tear it down several times because i constantly kept making mistakes.
Well now it is done and i am really happy for how it turned out! :)

love this, especially the flag pole! well done for this and you've obviously put a lot of effort into this so you defiantly deserved the pura badge :P
