Does anyone know if Habbo Austria actually happened? I know they own the domain and it links to .de I believe it is. But I came across this image and wondering if anyone knows the history behind it:

See, as I said somewhere else I believe it did exist. But then checking online apparently it linked straight to Habbo.ch and was never separate site?
I don't ever recall seeing a list of Austrian staff either. Fgs idk too confusing :(

Any site I've looked at seeing if anyone has any information on it, it doesn't like exist. So maybe someone made it just for the hell of it.

Mhm probably. Or maybe there were plans to open a site dedicated purely to Austrian users but then the idea got withdrawn thus leading to an un-used hotel view? :P Wouldn't explain how it got out publically though.

That certainly explains the .Pl mystery as well then. Looks like it was a project/new hotel(s) that just ended up being scrapped. I wonder why though, no real money issues arose until 2 years later when the Chinese hotel closed due to bankruptcy. Nevertheless, they are still quite interesting looking hotel views :P

@xxMATTGxx (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=1020);
There was another thread about Habbo Poland:
http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=538273
This was the hotel view for it:

So I don't think the .pl one was faked at all XD. Will look for the .at one though

Cant find a thread on it, but here:
http://habbogalore.co.uk/hotels/ (It's under "inactive"). From what I can gather, it was either always in .ch at the start, or open for a very short time then instantly merged into .ch.
Amazing how many domains they purchased though and didnt use

Between 2004 and 2005 there was a Austrian hotel planned. But it has never been released. Later Swiss people shared its hotel with Austrian Habbos and in 2009 they moved into German hotel.
Planned hotel view for Austrian hotel: http://wiseowl.kunta.ch/hotelviews/view_austria_01.gif
This could be useful for your history and/or hotelview page perhaps?
Found that on Habborator it's not that long ago (2 years) so it's pretty recent so that could hold a bit of your answer.

They were originally going to open up a Hotel for each country but internally that proved unfeasible because of the high operating costs (they weren't always able to partner up with an existing sponsor in the chosen country) and the fact that it was more lucrative for them to merge certain countries that spoke the same language into one hotel in order to a) improve user online figures, b) advertising revenue, and c) credits revenue meaning clustered language hotels were more likely to become profitable, and at a faster rate, than they would've been if it had been one hotel per country.

It was never opened according to my brother (ex habbo addict). He says it was to do with some financial problems, don't know if he's right though (A)
