Hey,

I wanted to buy some headphones (no more than £100) but I'm not sure what to get, do you guys have any suggestions? I'm debating whether or not just to buy some Dr Dre Beats, are they worth the money?

I'm not a huge headphone person but Beats are completely overpriced and suped-up for what they actually are. And I swear they're so much more than 100 squid?

I'm not going to post with recs as like I said I don't really use them. Bose and Sony are meant to be OK from what my DJ mate said in the past!

don't get dr dre beats, you'll look like a tool for buying heaphones for £200 when their sound quality is that of £30 ones

I've got some Sony MDR ZX700's and they're perfect, great base, noise cancellation and are designed well.

Although, I did buy them quite a while ago so you may want to look at this chart, it was created by audiophiles so they know what they're talking about, it may be a little dated though but you get the picture of what brands to look for, sennheiser/sony/ety/AT/AKG, honestly I would go for some sennheisers, just read some respected reviews before you commit to anything though, goes for all brands

I have these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-MDREX50LPB-Mid-range-In-ear-Headphones/dp/B004NRNMII/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342495694&sr=8-1 which are perfect if you're on a budget. Nice mix of treble/bass, plus as far as I can tell they don't leak sound as long as you have the 'right' ear bud size for your ear. I'm sure you could get better ones if you definitely want to spend £100 though

If you're staying indoors with them, I suggest UrbanEars.
The most expensive model is £50 + shipping from Sweden (£6 for UK) and there are a good dozen or so colours.
I take them to school everyday and because I dont look after them they're a bit dirty but that's what you get for buying White haha

If you're after IEMs at all I'd highly recommend the Shure SE215. Great sound to them :)
