If you could choose any job in the world, what would you choose?

Do you have the education/course/knowledge needed for it? What keeps you from having it?

To me, my dream job would be working in the United Nations. Any job would make me pretty happy, but translating mainly. I know fluently Portuguese, French and English, with knowledge of Spanish, and I'm used to translate stuff on the spot, so I think I'd be pretty successefull. Although, I think this will never happen xD

My ultimate dream job would be to work in/for MI5.. but that will never happen!

For the present time, I would like to become a forensic officer, and work myself up to become a detective

Dream job would be to be a Firefighter. Dad was one before he passed and I grew up in fire trucks and at the halls. Love the work they do but unfortunately I don't have 20/20 vision (have to wear glasses/contacts), so I'd have to get surgery before I could apply.

i'd love to do something within media, possibly reviewing films and i'd think that would be something i would really enjoy. if nottt, i'd love to be good enough at a language (spanish, yeah) to go live there and teach children english lol. the main reason i'd wanna do that is so i could live in a nice place.
OR I want to be mike wazowski at disney land, kk.

Ngl, saw Hotel Manager and thought you meant in Habbo LMAO. My bad x

Hm, I've never really had a clue about a future job lol. The only thing I wouldn't mind is doing something related to Customer Service/Support (not at Sulake ofc ;l) just so I could assist people with problems haha? I suppose I'd have to endure a lot of angry consumers now and then though... :P

The aim is something in Politics, however should that not succeed I'd quite like to have my own, small VG development team. I'd also like to make a movie one day but that's not really a dream job, or a job really.

Dream job would be a writer. Either fiction or something academic that I'm really interested in (and even more ideally, a pioneer and expert in that area that everyone looks up to and makes lots of money doing speeches and whatnot). I'd also be interested in working in the Department of Education :)

Failing that, I'd like to be a teacher. I'm sorta struggling atm cos I've gone from primary to secondary to primary again so I'm not sure who I want to teach but I would like to teach someone :P

I worked in Hospitality for 6 years. Worked my way up to a Front of House Manager and Duty Manager. I worked closely with the General Manager (Hotel Manager) and i can honestly say that unless you don't want a life.. it isn't a good job. Its long hours, heavly underpaid in comparison to previous years and thank-less. Generally Hospitality is though.

I work in an Airport just now and i love it, excellent money and good banter. Ideally i will train to become a Paramedic though.

Considering I applied to be a Retained Firefighter, I got to the final few stages and they realized I was not within 4 minutes of the station, so ideally moving within a distance and becoming Retained would be my ideal job. Good money, good prospects, and a good way to fund my child's toy addiction.

Great thread,

I'd love to become a Screenwriter. Whether I am in the department of theatre, video-gaming, film, television I am happy. I just want to bring my ideas to the screen or play. If I could choose It would be to create scripts for Games/Film. I am currently doing my A-Level English Literature, will then move onto University to do a 3-Year directing and Screewriting course. Followed that I will go to National Film School to do Screewriting for another 2 years. This will help me get into the business, I am deeply passionate about doing this. It's a long process, and I will be poor for a few years but I want to work hard to where I want to be at.

May seem stupid to some but I'd love to work at Disney or Universal Orlando. Failing that I'd love to be an IT engineer. Because I'm like 80% sure that I won't get to work at Universal, Being an IT engineer something I'm aiming towards. Dreams do become reality, and -

Probably to run a fairly large webdev/webapp firm.

I actually have no issues working for other companies, but sadly most don't really offer much career prospects for anyone who doesn't just want to disappear of in to management. I'd love to run a team (or more), but I'd never want to leave the technical aspects behind, working on the coal face so to speak is where all the fun happens :D
