Okay guys I haven't been on since donkeys of years, I used to play Habbo when it was at its peak and when Callie was manager.

Okay many who played at the time would know this, for those who started later (damn you missed out!)
100% elitist system, and it wasn't zeds making rooms (bumlickers) etc who were popular it was guys who she would add on her MSN etc who were favoured. There was no one way to go about this, everyone had their own way of making it to the top of Habbo at the time...

Facts about Callie:

She was online 24/7, even after office times she would go home and play
Very few people knew where she was in the hotel (when you searched on the console it would say "Online: In a guest room", there was no stalk feature) Heck, back in those days you could easily get banned for stalking/harassment...
She was very fond of males, rig competitions, give supers out
She was probably the best manager imho
She got fired for being too unprofessional (and other stuff)


Then Lost_Witness took over after a long while and he was like a robot. Talking, walking and acting like a robot, pretending he was everyones friend and all the noobs thought he was. With Callie, take it from me, if she was your friend, she'd be a friend, if she wasn't she wouldn't even talk to you at all.

I could write pages worth if you have any questions about this topic feel free to reply on this thread I'll try and answer them to best of my knowledge and if I don't know I'll just say it straight up.

Sorry, but I'm struggling to see the point behind this thread.

Is there a reason I can't seem to find it, or are you just trying to show what little knowledge you have about 'competition-rigging' yet 'best manager' Callie to show how "old skool" you are?

Last i spoke to Andy he says he doesn't speak to her anymore (Evolution) but i imagine she got a job alike to Habbo to be honest. I highly doubt she got fired.

She was fired from Habbo (I will find the post I made a few days ago and edit this one to include it). She then went to work at ClubTropica as far as I know, but as to her current employment whereabouts, I neither know nor care.

She was fired because she essentially went around stealing furniture (thrones and possibly other rares) and selling it, for profit, on various auction websites. At the time, Habbo did not really have the sophisticated tools that they do now (furniture tracking and logging, basically) and so they had to set up a sophisticated lure to see which member of staff was stealing the furniture (because it had to be a member of staff - people were getting furniture picked up that had no rights set in the rooms).

She was eventually caught and asked to leave because obviously that kind of behaviour is never tolerated. I almost hired her, under her real name (which isn't Callie) but fortunately the lovely Rebecca Newton told me about her and advised me to stay away.

So, in essence, yes she was fired and Lost_Witness was promoted to take her place (after being a Moderator or whatever; not entirely sure what he did before becoming Hotel Manager). Moral of the story: Don't abuse staff privileges and try and sell furni (well, it was thrones) for profit.

- She was hated by most HabboUK Staff.

The company refused to fire her because she was still on contract and put up with her (instead of paying for her redundancy and penalties etc). Her contract wasn't renewed (obviously :p) and therefore she left, I like to say fired >:P

Yeah, absolutely. She was Impetuous and she used to transfer supers on that account and give to some guys she fancied on Habbo. Why she didn't tell anyone she was Impetuous is because a few of her closest friends had access to that account. You would often see Impetuous and Callie online at the same time, which was confusing at the time.

And the account Impetuous had staff privileges on it, including admin catalogue.

Yeah Becs was pretty high up the company ladder at that time (higher than Callie) although believe me mate they had tracking tools since the very early days (e.g. scambusters). I think Becs meant that she was transferring supers to her other accounts from the admin catalogue and distributing them everywhere. Habbo couldn't take back the furni because it was legally handed out by the hotel manager ofcourse :p Callie was smart.

It was actually corporate theft (insert boring legal stuff here) - you don't own the staff account or furniture on said account, the company do. She was stealing from the hotel by abusing her position as Hotel Manager: she had permission to distribute furniture legitimately (as in, for competitions, etc.) but was not granted permission to send rares to her alternative accounts and give them out around the hotel (amongst other things - she was apparently selling them on ebay, or otherwise aiding and abetting those who were, to do so?) and whilst it depends on the facts of the case, I think Sulake could have justified, in an employment tribunal, her being dismissed for gross misconduct (you usually don't get severance/redundancy pay for that, but it depends on the terms of your contract).

Rebecca was Director of Community at the time, overseeing all hotels and being in charge of the community operations team (moderation and safety) or something; I don't know the exact specifics of her role. I think Hotel Managers may have reported indirectly to her at the time, but I'm not entirely sure. I am aware they had scambusters tools, etc. but Rebecca said they had to set up an investigation - for whatever reason, they were unable to simply use the furniture tracking tools to see who was doing what?

Sulake were, and are, entitled to do whatever they please with the furniture and the avatars - indeed, every part of the Habbo brand/assets. It is their intellectual property and you merely rent it (and space on their servers) when you 'own' it. They could, if they so chose to do so, delete everyone's furniture and there would be no legal recourse (assuming a court agreed with Sulake's Terms and Conditions - specifically, the section governing ownership of assets) for users to undertake.

I never met Becs so I can't comment on what she had to say. But I do know for a fact that Becs (previously a Hobba) became high in power in the company and suggested they remove Hobba's for "security reasons" the real reason was to eliminate competition so she could progress into the company further.

Naw. Dionysus was King_Mob (ex Hobba) who was recruited years ago and moved up the rank. After the saving cuts the company did, he was kept and relocated to Helsinki and now works in the HQ.

I'm sure it wasn't that clean cut, afterall - what would illegally giving out funriture be seen as? :P They could of taken away that furniture, they just didn't because it would only be seen as punishing the Habbo(s) who received the items off her. They couldn't punish Callie because, as you said, she was under contract and to save money they might as well wait for her contract to come to an end then kick her out.

Habbo/Sulake probably didn't act on the misconduct claims simply because they couldn't give a damn, it's just virtual furniture which is value-less and intangible. They're a lazy organisation and would have better things to do with their time.

Also, she was possibly the worst Hotel Manager. ione and Jibbi are usually considered the best as they were always in the community having fun, rather than hanging around with one group of people with noses browner than wet mud in a field.

Ye I don't know tbh mate because I only started playing in 2003 and was a noob and obviously didn't mix with staff back then but I can kind of understand what you are saying. Staff had a lot of powers back then, now they're just figureheads and are forced to say "Hi" to everyone with a smiley face and accept everyones friend request because thats so cool. Boring

Ye its true though if I remember correctly aapo was the first ever Habbo and he was the 4th. On the contrary whoever thought aapo left, he didn't. He got promoted to the highest rank (Board of Directors) and is now that Paul fella is responsible to him and aapo oversees everything he does and Paul has to get approval from him before anything gets accepted.

They probably had the ability, but they just didn't use it :P I mean, nowadays they can add furniture whenever they want, but back in the day I'm pretty sure new furniture came out with each version, so maybe they had to wait for V7 for the rares :)
