For anyone interested, the public beta registration for some new features coming to the dashboard is now open. This included internet explorer.

Really? :0 I think they're a bit late to the party with that, should have been done years ago.

I don't know what you're smoking, IE on the Xbox is really well done, I'd say it's probably better than IE on PC, it's certainly the best internet browser I've seen on a console, I don't know what you're complaining about.

The pins are fine, they seem to take far too long to actually work but it's a beta, things like that could be sorted out, the new design is really nice as well, it's certainly an upgrade to the previous version of the dashboard that's for sure.

Had a little play with IE. It's pretty good, much better than the browsers on wii and ps3 imo.

I think IE has been released a little late on xbox, maybe even too late. quite a lot of my mates use their ps3's for internet browsing, they may have chose differently if xbox had that function from the start

In some ways i could see it being convenient if you had your tv and console in your room and no laptop

I don't think a lot of people buy a console mainly on that feature, it's just something nice to have. If it has been done well then it's great to add it to the Xbox. Adding more functionality and features to the console is always a good thing.

The version of IE on Xbox is miles better than the one on PC, shame it doesn't have flash support but I guess there's not much they can do about that. The pin thing seems a bit pointless, but the overall dashboard definitely feels a lot smoother

The flash works for me. On the websites I used anyway.

I think the idea is good and well yeah its just another feature but something that should have been implemented onto Xbox a very long time ago, from what I've seen/heard it is a lot better than the similar features on other consoles.
