They're already at least a week late on this. Most of the Olympic hype is going to be over by the time it launches. Pretty insane since the date for the Olympics in London has been set for 7 years! They should have been running Olympic themed competitions and events for the last month imho - straight after the unmute at the latest.

Also the last Habbolympic campaign was only two years ago...

Looking to see some actual events in this campaign, at least stuff that's free to enter. If there's just another set of room building competitions people will not be impressed!

Why does investors pulling out have anything to do with the type of competitions being ran alongside the Olympic Games

i'm not actually. i'm interested in what input you think those investors would have had on the competitions being ran. Other than 'we want competitions regarding the olympics to be ran'

It's not like all the investors went, it was only a few. Not going to have much of a difference on a campaign which appears to be fairly small.

Investors pulling out has nothing to do with the competitions. But as tm stated, they are a week behind on running the olympics events. Still, I'll only enter some IF there isnt room building to do.

Long story short...

When a company suddenly loses 25% of its revenue unexpectedly, they have to make major cuts in expenditures (this includes staff).

So when this happens, I don't think their top priority is having a Hablympics (or w.e its called) campaign when theres a multi million pound business at stake.

I'm sure the remaining investors ain't saying ohhhh you are late on the habblympics campaign im pulling out too!!!!! I doubt they even know how to play Habbo.

Business is business. The investors control what goes on.

And in this moment in time, I think they are stretched to the max, if they however had more investment (meaning more funds, more staff) they could have put it up there in their priority list.

Most Campaigns keep people playing Habbo, Investors want people playing because they make money. All the recent campaigns have required you to purchase furniture, which means Sulake making money which pleases Investors. Please wake up atpeak.

Yeah we know, but like you said 'This is what happens when two big investors pull out' - a Olympics campaign is what happens? lol what

I think you're the one who needs to wake up. Habbo is in a big media scandal and with the European Commission threatening to shut it down completely if Sulake doesn't notch up a gear is what investors care about.

Whats more important? A few pennies from a campaign or Habbo LTD

I think evidently we know what Sulake thinks is more important, don't you ;)

Wasn't aware any staff had actually been fired as a result of the media scandal to save on costs.

You do know that Sulake have LOADS of staff that don't actually need to or play Habbo?

Sulake have a staff team which consists of multiple roles, what you're saying is that because their public relations & legal team is dealing with a matter of public interest is that pixel artists, community managers, developers and other staff members shouldn't be doing anything while this public matter is around?

What I'm thinking is what everyone else who has more than two brain cells is thinking. The community managers, developers and other staff members are working overtime to try and fix the Guardian system so they can get chat back up to normal again safely which is Habbo's top priority in terms of money, revenue, Habbo as a brand and as a company.

See the bigger picture. Do I have to spell it out for you all the time?

Well aware that they lost staff in various offices when Paul made some staff redundant, I also however know that many of the current staff are going on holidays! Must be the stress of their friends being fired.

Might be because it's the summer holidays, just a thought

I don't know how much information has been posted about this as I've been away for the past week but during that time I got an email that says this:

Hey Fansites!

"The Habbo-lympix will take you on a journey around the world, it will give you a chance to meet new people, challenge your abilities and open your mind to the possibilities within! "

Its time to get in to the spirit of the Olympic Games, so here comes Habbo-lympix.

Next week will begin a 2 week campaign with new Furni (inc. rare), quests, achievements, badges, quizzes, you name it!

Stay tuned and get your sports gear ready!

Thanks

Jason

You can buy effects via stars and credits at this current moment due to the various quests they have been holding.

They should have started this campaign at least the week leading up to Fridays opening ceremony.

Maybe they are having trouble with trading standards, and trade marks? I still remember the habbolympics in 05, which I'm still waiting for my badge for...
