My friend sent me a link to the old hobba applications, step 1 is so simple, they also used to ask for your password???

How things changed, back then was it normal? lol

Not when the scheme first started, you could literally be any age as there was no official check; could pretend to be your brother!

lmao i made a new account especially to apply but by the time my account age was old enough (i didnt think to put it older...) the scheme ended. :( As far as I know the age was always 16 hmm

To be fair it has the right to ask for your password since it's part of the site itself.

Oh yeah come to think of it that makes sense. It does look a bit like a scam website though :P Also forgot that you had to login via client and website was separate

Here's the first ever application form, there was no age requirements etc. The only requirement was that you had no bans and an active user!

It was 16, but raised to 18 at a later date. I remember a slightly later Hobba application, where it didn't ask you for your password and it asked for your address in the first stage, that was also the very first Habbo eXpert application form :)

What did the first eXpert application process look like?

Exactly the same as the final Hobba application, with a paragraph box of 'Why should you be a Habbo eXpert?'

I think initially Habbo Xs were planned for a wider role, some Xs in 2006 said that Sulake was testing out a CFH option so the Xs can answer the non-emergencies and weren't you supposed to get the Alert function too rather than "Hobba Says" it was going to be "Habbo eXpert Says:"

Yeah, Team Leaders had powers - kick and alert across the hotel for about 2 weeks - but Sulake decided against it, they didn't like giving anyone power - the right decision in my point of view :)

Only people from the UK or Ireland could apply to be Hobbas then? And you needed to pay for the Citizen Card?

When this was around I was to young to see this going on. Wish I paid more attention now tbh :/

The hobba age limit was 16+ until a Habbo-addicted hobba (Forget her name) failed here exams due to spending all her time moderating the hotel...
After this happened Habbo raised the age to 18+

Since Habbo started in 2001

At first there was no age limit or any unique requirements, on the application page it says at the bottom "We look forward to welcoming you as a Hobba" lol. They then after couple of months changed it to 16+ then later on 18+ like you said
