Weird exploding box

I just noticed there's a weird self-exploding gift box. Can anyone tell me what that is and how the owner got such a furni?

If you use the toggle/loop wired on a present with fancy wrapping paper then it explodes without opening.

This. I think it was supposed to happen when you opened a present, but was never programmed into the game.
