Got my ticket last night! Cannot wait.

Gonna drive from NW England and get the tunnel, then stay in random Etap/Formule1 etc for 3-4 nights. Been France a few times and have driven over 3000 miles in France before staying in random hotel/motels. Gonna be an epic weekend.

We actually booked a 4 star luxury 2 bedroom (+decent sofabed) town house instead just outside the park. £150 each for 4 nights ain't too shabby since it has a swimming pool, spa, free gym and a decent kitchen. Since it's walking distance we'll save on petrol and parking costs too.

Booked the tunnel and some other bits and bobs, cannot wait now!

I go to DLP a lot, stayed at a lot of hotels in and around the parks (although now we tend to stay at Sequoia Lodge). I wish I were going to Minecon though! Sadly, saving for an actual trip to DLP with the family instead. :(

In terms of Disneyland, why not? Disneyland have a convention centre which is where Minecon will be held.

When I think of Disneyland, I think of fairies, princesses and lovely animations of talking animals etc. Minecraft just doesn't fit into that box for me.

Las Vegas is a large city though, Disneyland is a tourist destination. Tbh it's not that big a deal, just how I feel :P

Feels like a good place for it to me. Good connections via train, plane and automobile, and easily accessible from the UK, France (obviously), Germany and the rest of mainland Europe as well as USA/Canada. It has plentiful hotels, all with excess capacity since it's off season. There's ample well equipped conference facilities (up to ~15,000 from what I can work out). It's family-friendly, much more so than Vegas in fact. There's tons of stuff to do in terms of the actual park itself, restaurants, other attractions.

The more I think the more I can't think of somewhere better for it.

We wanted to give you another update on things.

MINECON Agents Wanted
Want to be a special part of MINECON? We are looking for volunteers. Make new friends, interact with some of the Mojang team, get a special MINECON volunteer t-shirt, and help your fellow Minecrafters have the best event possible. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet the Mojang team! Click here to apply.

Costume Contest
We would love to see the most epic Minecraft costumes ever this year. Wear them on Saturday, Sunday or both days. We will have a team giving out prizes to some of the best costumes and some of you will even be invited up on stage each night to show off the amazingness you’ve made.

18+ Party

Well yeah, technically it's in the conference faciltities which are part of some of the Disneyland hotels. - On Sat. evening we get the whole actual park free to ride, exclusively for Minecon attendees!

2. Minecon cape information has been released. They are BLUE.

I wish I could go to Minecon either this year or last year. Though Paris is too far from me, and Vegas while in my country is again a good deal away. Next Year should be Disney World :P

Would go again, but driving 14hrs there and 13hrs back was a little tiring to say the least!

Yeah, I had a chat with Doc for about 2 mins before the panel started about his house move (ISP is still messing him around if you know whats going on) and some other bits. I can tell you that he's absolutely sincere in his love for his fans and the game that's for sure!
