New HxHD layout

Hi there guys,

I love the new Help Desk but I feel that the actual help desk bar is too small, far too small and when people are transported to the bar when they first enter, it's too cramped. Don't get me wrong, I love the design and room but I just think there aren't enough seats and seeing as it's a help desk after all, it should have more room.

Just my thoughts, when I first entered I thought woah. I know people are going to reply to this thread saying shut the **** up, it's just my perspective. I just think that the point in a help desk is to assist, not go overboard with looks.

Yeah, just what I think and probs nothing will happen.

I think the traditional "Help Desk" type rooms where there is loads of seats is a thing of a past. The Help Desk has relaxed over the years and you could say its a drop in/chill room but where people can still get help in regards of Habbo and Habbox. I'm not saying we will never see a traditional layout again but having tons of seating is no longer required.

We won't be changing anything to the layout in terms of making the desk more bigger and so on as it will require too much work and I think the actual layout looks great. It sure is one of the better layouts we have had in recent years.

There is still a good amount of seats available for staff and users, don't forger you can always use the "Sit" action if you are VIP! :P

I think that the events area should be opened up so there is more space to be honest. xxMATTGxx

If you read the other thread you tagged me in, I said it will be up to Garriet; and Ms.Aquamarine; if the closed area should be opened up.

I LOVE the layout but it's all in one space the desk. Nobody is moving around the room. I agree with Dean; - would be a lot better to have some space!

You don't need to move around the room? Well it's not required but you can easily move around the room :P

In terms of the big ducks that was in the area in the previous layout, it was blocked off because it was used for an event and then someone decided to move the fountain which had wired stacked into it. So it was closed off as a new layout was just around the corner :P

Then I wonder what that user will say when it goes into rooms like the welcome lounge and rooms with higher numbers than the Help Desk as that's what they normally would see when they first go onto Habbo Hotel.

It's better when everyone's in the same type area talking. I always hated in the previous help desk when I was sat on one end of the room, I couldn't nosy in on the conversation on the opposite side :P

They don't have to be, people have chosen to be in that area. You aren't forced to be there, plus it looks good when there's a good amount of people there. It looks cosy :P

Like I said, it's their choice surely? No one is forced to be there. To be honest in any layout people will go in whatever area they like the most. If they want to be near the desk in that seating area then surely that is fine.

i quite like it but there's a few things i would change in terms of the whole design. this is just my opinion though so please don't whip out your guns and start firing lmao.

the first thing i would change would be the 'jungle landscape walls' because they don't really look summery at all, they remind me of an african safari or the wild thornberry's. but yeah, i spoke to kirst last night and the other walls which were going to be used are glitched or something, so that can't be helped.

the other thing i don't like about the design is the amount of the water patches in the room. i think there's far too much water in certain areas, particularly where the flamingo is stood. i think it should be made a little smaller and replaced with a few more grass patches for people to stand on.

but other than that it looks great, lets just hope that no one trashes or the room will be closed for ages. :P

Think the problem here is that people are too used to seeing such spacious desks (space which is never even used, might I add) that this is a bit of a drastic change. There's more than enough room for the average amount of room visitors and people seem to forget, although there may be flowers and such dotted about the room, that doesn't make it any more cramped in terms of having space for people to move. There's also no reason that your habbo can't tread water if there's 'no space' on the grass.

The original plans for the walls would have been to use savannah ones but considering they're glitched that just wasn't an option we had. If it were solely down to my own tastes the help desk would have normal walls with cloud wallpaper! @ngc6611 (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=95894); did tell me that he'll try to get the walls fixed quite soon though, so hopefully that shouldn't be so much of a bother in the near future. I think they look rather good though, adds a sense of depth to the room.

People don't all teleport in next to the desk -- or at least they shouldn't --as I asked matt to make it so that there were a few more areas that people would teleport into. As for the 'too much water' problem... Well, I tried to make it look as realistic as possible and I don't think just a few patches would have sufficed.

I just don't think any layout can please everyone,
The current layout in my opinion is fab, I think the designers did a great job.
I don't get why people moan about there being enough seats when they're hardly ever in there anyway...
