I'm going to be straight out honest with you, I haven't really got a clue about twitter :P here's my question, if someone tweets me 'hello richie' can my friends see that?

is there anyway to set up privacy privileges? I don't want to have to hide my tweets but I'd like to be able to make tweets in reply to me private if that makes sense

settings > protect my tweets.

but imo thats not the point of twitter

no you cant. they probably would even be looking for it unless they are stalkers like adam.
but year they wont see unless you reply and they click to view coversaton

You can only protect your whole profile and not just replies sadly. Put unless people click on you and check everything you tweet than there isn't much to worry about. Private things should either be said over DM or elsewhere :P

Yeah as others have said - you can put your profile to private, protect my tweets. It's basically like Facebook if someone posts on your wall and you reply via a comment everyone on your friends profile can see the conversation unless you sent it via the messaging service. Twitter has a direct message service, use that for private stuff.

People can check who has relied to you whether you're protected or not I think, just not what you've tweeted...

Cheers lads, the only reason I asked this was because if I have users following me on my real life twitter I don't want my friends to see 'Habboxlive.com - Hello Richie you're amazing and we only follow gods like yourself.' but meh I guess I'm thinking into it too much, if my friends find out i still use habbo, no big deal.

Mainly why I don't link my Habbox and Habbo accounts to anything! :P

i have 2 separate twitters, but your followers would only probably notice if it you tweeted habbox back - even then they'd have to go on your profile to see that (as @mentions only show up if you follow the mentioner and the mentionee)
