Ubuntu > onto usb

Hey i have had trouble putting ubuntu on usb to install on to my notebook which unfortuenly has no cd tray has
any one tried this before?

http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ use this to put it on a USB stick.

What's the exact problem?

Well i get a kernel panic when it goes through the command line.
