I tried seeing if I could add someone to my ignore list (ly Polarisation; ;)) and I tried it vvith "Polarisation" and got the reply;


"Sorry Polarisation is a moderator/admin and you are not allowed to ignore him or her."

I don't think she is tbf LOL. Same thing happens if...

It could be to do with that they have moderator permissions in a forum somewhere (the helpdesk staff forums or cnb perhaps idk)? Since they are both senior helpdesk staff I'm just guessing?


Could be the moderator permissions doing it though and making the system think they are a mod?

Maybe :o It lets me block normal users vvho dont have VIP/Donator. I'll try block one that doesnt have a staff rank but has VIP.

This isn't a bug, Martin is right because she is a senior staff member you find they generally receive moderator permissions in a private staff forum, however unfortunately this means they are immune to being added your ignore list. There is nothing can be done about this :'(

It depends if the usergroup ID's have been mixed in some time of the forum, e.g i think default of moderator ug is 11. Thus maybe helpdesk is 11 now :]

Isn't a bug, it's due to Polarisation having moderator permissions within one of our staff forums. Due to the way vBulletin works it means you can't ignore anyone who has Admin or Moderator permissions.

Never the less i didn't think that'd class them as a moderator if they are a "forum moderator" not actually in the moderator ug. xxMATTGxx;

Yeah it seems to do it even if they aren't in the moderators usergroup.

Yep works, so i can ignore mods if they arn't assigned, so i prob can ignore super mods i imagine as they arn't assigned afaik?

I think it's because in the usergroup itself, it's set that they moderate all forums sort of speak. Where as "Forum Moderator" isn't until it's assigned a forum.

It's because they're a moderator of a forum. You know... when you click the drop down then click "Add Moderator" etc. :P Anyone with that as part of their profile cannot be ignored.
