Hello There, I have come to your forum in peace offering a new fansite experience. The new fan site is called ‘The Ministry Press’ and we are based on Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling. Harry Potter has appealed to teens since the first book and still does today, that’s why we posted on a Habbo fansite.

Our staff keep you up to date with the latest Potter, Site and JKR news as and when it happens. We also have a forum for you to chat about other Potter-related topics and any other teen-related topics. On the site we also have a test to get sorted into your Hogwarts house. Then when your sorted you can join that house’s community on the forum.

To join the community please sign up for the forum here (http://theministrypress.com/forum) or you could apply for a job on the job application page on the main page. You can go to the main site here (http://theministrypress.com).

The site and forum design seems poor and there is no consistency between the design of the site and the forum.

- The background uses a image that results in people with large enough screen resolutions seeing a partly black background with it turning in to white where the image is not large enough.
- Don't use marquee, we're not in the age of geocities sites any more.
- Don't use center and font tags, they are deprecated even in html 4.
- You declare a xhtml 1.0 doctype which extends the html 4.01 spec but you then use the html5 footer tag.
- The footer is placed out of the closing html and body tag.
- The AJAX page loading implementation is terrible as it completely breaks the user's back/forward buttons as well as making it impossible to link to pages.

Tyy for saying. I wasn't trying to make an amazing website. It's the first I've ever made and TBH I like it... :)

Being honest, a Harry Potter fansite simply won't last.

It's not so much dying, because the Harry Potter community is so difficult, but there's a lack of news out there really. Most of the 'Harry Potter' news, is simply what people are doing after Harry Potter.

And then, there's the competition. You simply can't compete with sites such as Mugglenet or the Leaky Cauldron.

In reality, you're probably better spending your money on other things.
