So the Football season is kicking off again at the weekend, so back to the same old same old
Who you got?
Score?
We have Peterborough United @ Home
Thinking of a 2:1 win
QPR on Saturday. Think we might punch a win, would be nice for first game on season!

Wigan on sunday, not too big a game so maybe a good chance to test the army of new players that have been brought in :P no idea what the score will be but pretty confident for a Chelsea win

Chelsea have wigan away as FJ said. I'm pretty sure we'll win but all I hope for is a good performance from the likes of Hazard and Torres.
I think it'll be 3-1 to chelsea.

Arsenal away.
Sadly 2-0 loss I think :( Arsenal's squad looks exciting this season, and Sunderland haven't done much yet.

Norwich have Fulham away
1-1
Shrewsbury @ Bramall Lane - my prediction is a 3-1 victory!
Hoping our loss in the cup will be out of the system & we get our first 3 points on the board

what a start to the season, wow!
First things first, that was an unmitigated disaster.
Now let's put it in perspective. The first week (or two) of the season is usually the time you see whopping defeats by many goals. This is usually the experienced, overly talented squads (Chelsea, United, etc.) beating down on the lower clubs who are still figuring things out. The lower clubs are much more likely to have new players, managers, tactics, etc.
LFC HAVE a new manager, a load of new players, and wholly different tactics. LFC have thetalent, but they are more like a low/mid table team at the start of the season. The talent means that things can get better, quickly. Remember Arsenal's abysmal start last year--they finished fourth.
Again, disaster. Oh wow, what a disaster.
Swansea 5 - 0 QPR
Swans fans were singing "you'll be fired in the morning" when the Liverpool result was announced

Haha, it's always been the joke around the Swans fans over the summer. Everyone knew Brendan wouldn't be in the job long

Unlucky.
Good result for us. In fairness, Arsenal were extremely poor in the final third, and we just defended for the whole of the second half. Our defence was extremely solid though, new signing Cuellar was outstanding, and so was John O'Shea and Lee Cattermole. Get another striker signed and a right midfielder and we'll be laughing!

Yeah. Arsenal was really poor in the final third. I also agree Cuellar was doing brilliant.
