View Full Version : [Bobba] Gold Coins

Hello,
I've just been in my grabber and a girl kept trading me gold coins. I paid out her winnings and ended up losing about 10c. When she won the jackpot, I realised that the gold coins weren't actually in my hand. I reported her, then kicked and banned both her and her friends.

Any idea how she did it?

Thanks,
Matt

I'm sure this was a glitch a few weeks ago? I honestly thought it was fixed.
Abdicators; Shorty; or someone else like them might know.

I hope you're not asking how to scam people Mathew :l

Have you reloaded the hotel? Sometimes furni doesn't show up in your hand straight away.

I thought I read something about it but wouldn't know where to look. :P Shame it hasn't been fixed yet.

veryvery true... maybe habbo only figured it was the gold bar.

thing is, the way the scam works means it's very difficult to stop it :S

Yeah, known issue which was reported to Habbo Developers they said it was fixed or half-fixed, it's meant to error the trade whenever it happens now.

This was never broken. The trade caused a sever-side exception and was denied. Which is right. The only reason people are able to make use of it is because the client does not tell you that the trade has failed. I was told that a developer was trying to ensure it alerted you when this happened, but i'm not sure if its been implemented yet.

The glitch has sort of been patched... If.. Player A and player B was trading... Player A puts throne in trade box, Player B puts Imagine 276c in, and player B does glitch, then they both confirm, neither gets items, they just get there original furni/coins

Isn't that the point of the glitch, i.e what the scammers want to happen? Or am I missing something..

i don't think i can say how you do it because i don't want to promote scamming and idk how to phrase it otherwise... let's just say the seller is aware he is doing this scam.

how can it be? it's not a bug at all, if it's being sold in 2 places at once then there's nothing they can do surely

When they first found out about it, the live development staff told me it was occurring due to an exception that was being thrown (an error in the code!), and they said they were going to add an alert to tell users when the trade failed. Did they not do that?
