He suggests that he will be using the forum instead of Twitter (possibly?). Him saying that he will be avaliable 'there' shows it could be just one forum, similar to runescapes forum (and ours) maybe!

It would be much easier to moderate and great trading, would kill Habboxforum trading and other aspects though.

It's not like moving from Twitter. It's a different forum than like the groups forums.

Well it would most likely be different people do the people who moderate game, so if they're english they could be good. I know company's that moderate forums.

Maybe they will allow player moderators of the forums like runescape does?
Are you sure he doesn't mean he's moving to another meeting and he'll be available to tweet when he's there?
Then again, he does mention his staff so unless it's a rather large meeting with all staff, then it could be a forum board (like this).

I actually have a bit of background info on this. The forum change had began in a discussion between Rishell and I; I shared my concerns with her on her first day lmao, and then we spent like three hours brainstorming a bunch of ideas and talking about forum softwares and ****, and then about groups and their forums and such and yeah... It gained no momentum for the first like month, had to go through a bunch of different teams and all, but yeah... We did share a lot of good ideas with one another, it will be interesting to see which are actually implemented, now that neither of us have any actual input on the matter.

That was discussed.

The idea of a unified forum for all of the hotel to share was the primary idea, but then also to solve the problem of the group forums. But how to combine them was the challenge. Either or, the forum system needs updated, but the code is outdated and would need re-written from the ground up, basically.
Wouldn't the forum just be filled up with rubbish, like on Twitter it can just be ignored and doesn't have to be replied to, but I'm pretty sure idiots would just post anything.

When Rishell and I were talking about it, it had remained a touchy subject, because ideally we all want the group forums, but most of them aren't moderated properly by their group owners/administrators (because technically, if it is their group they bare the responsibility of the content), and the moderators are, well, hopeless.
She did say that it would be their own custom code, though, so not a vBulletin; at least that was the plan.
That would suck imo, we don't need it all to be on Habbo :( Bit of freedom to say as we please on twitter is good!
Habbox will always be number 1 for me.
Though a Habbo forum would be great. Sadly I think it will be over-run with arguments and immature stupidness. I like Habbox because of the sophisticated- and older users that are still here. Veterans **!

That is very unfortunate of them to think that one forum will lessen the trolls and bad content. Moderation needs to be provided just the way it was in 2009-2010. I think most forumers will be upset knowing that there will be one common forum for all, what about those discussion forums that are supposed to be private (Armies, help groups like answers)?
I would just like to say this to everybody who thinks that the habbo forums were full of trolls and arguments, it is actually not the story, yes there were a few people who did this but that was when mods had left moderating the forums. group forums like answers, chapter and outback were actually very fun to be a part of, they were much better than habbox forum, in my opinion.

It sounds interesting but I don't know if I like the idea of it. Did you see the state of the group forums when we had them? Idiots left right and centre and a bunch of spotty teens clearly trying too hard... I dread to think what this forum could be full of.

Just to stick up for group forums not all of them where trolled and some of them where actually where moderated by group owners and admins.
There were plenty of good discussions on certain topics depending on forums and some places for example in habbo depended on groups e.g. my Doctor Who forum I moderated easily and was used for discussion of episodes among fans and used to manage my RP.

I like the idea, and I have always thought about habbo having it's own forum, but I think I would still stick with fansites, because different fansites have different communities and different rules. If you just have one forum, it would be the same boring rules, and the same forum skin.

official habbo forums bore me, full of trolls

Habbo forums would be a success if they used more user data, like using the new citizenship talent tree to allow people to talk in the forums with other information and blocking people from forums for x amount of time for certain offences etc.

Like, clearly we want people to have their own private group discussions, but also provide a way for all of the Habbos to discuss things on a general level, across the hotel on the forum, sort of how Habbo China did when they had their forum.

Think you find many of the smaller forums actually did get used.

One idea to improve moderation on the forums, may sound a bit complex but im sure habbo could do it would be.
For example, a user reports a bad post and that post gets sent to guardians in a bully report type style, and those guardians vote on if the post is offence ect and depending on the outcome the post could either be removed or the poster could be banned from that forum for a short while.
