Habbo mass ban 'alt' names

My friend and I both had odd bans. The reason is something like 'HF-88884'. I have asked around and realised that years on Habbo have decided to ban all the names with spaces in. Unfortunately, if you made these on your main ID and no longer used the alt names then your main account has been permed too.

So far, it's only names with spaces in after the exploit yesterday which I guess was posted on here?

Is this the glitch that happened years ago? I remember making 'Samantha Walker' and it got banned but that was over 2 years ago, was it like that?

In 2009 and 2010 you could make names on certain days with any character in. This led people to make name such as ' Jazz' with a space infront. Jazz is just an example. Yesterday, or a few days ago, these alt accounts as they're known were merged with the original. So ' Jazz' was now 'Jazz' and had access to all Jazz's furni. So say someone had made ' Michaels' all those years ago they could have stolen your furniture.

They were all unbanned when this mishap happened too. So say ' Michaels' had been banned when it was made the ban would have gone to ' Michaels' (two spaces).

I know someone made ' c' all those years ago and was able to steal all the furniture from the original account 'c'.

For some reason the alt accounts only merged into the original accounts yesterday. So they've taken immediate action.

So I presume they will all be unbanned after the issue has been fixed? Or will it be a case of them adding characters where the spaces should be, I doubt that though.

No idea how they will fix it. If you search Jazz for example it still shows the look that was on spaceJazz - no idea how they will fix.

Oh goodness, hope they do find a way around it or I feel sorry for the owners of those banned accounts :P (Unless they deliberately made them in hope this day would come again... ;))

happened to me i had the banned account "+++++++S" and it logged me in "S", i didn't take any furni or mess with his account (except.. adding dunke tag, changing outfit and joining my group.. oops), i also left him a sticky note in a locked room explaining how i got on his account so it's not a big suprise

This happened to me the other month but not with an account similarly named to the one I use. Not sure what caused it though. No accounts banned as I'm aware of.

whenever i log in using the email and ANY password, it comes up with a ban message which is similar to yours, unable to receive password reset emails and can't access help tool, so im not sure (first time i've had a ban like this)

yeah, just tried it on mine with password 'hhhh' and i got the ban message. bit crap.

Just at the front but I think they banned names with spaces after now too as Abdicators said it and he's pretty clued up! :8

i haz 50 accounts on my id idk if its got alts in most their from whiles back but i aint been banned so im happy ;) i doubt i got alts most are just got .'s and stuff

I believe those are all the characters that are permitted. I think anything else got banned. Spaces are not permitted in names.

Underscore isnt an alt name, lost_witness had one lol

Someone has never typed ALT + 255! Also, underscore names are seen as 'alt' if they're made after 2002.
