Anyone seen this? They announced it yesterday. It's basically a camera made by Samsung that is running on Android Jelly Bean. I do believe Nikon also announced a similar device not that long ago as well.

At the IFA Samsung Unpacked Event, we took a look at a very digital camera that runs Android Jelly Bean and sports a 4.8-inch Multitouch HD display. The camera has a 21 super long zoom and 24 megapixels. It also has 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity, so that you can update your social networks with your photos on the go. The camera functions like an android smartphone, allowing widgets, connection to Google Play and allowing the user to send pictures to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

You can see more photos and videos of the device by going to:

What do you guys think of it?

It does look amazing. As the BBC stated in the article below, you could install a photo-editing app and quickly, efficiently edit any photos on the go. There are rumours that it can also connect to your Android phone via Bluetooth to control it and use it as a viewfinder, so you could have it take a picture when you feel comfortable with your position AND actually want to appear in the photo. It's truely changing the way we use cameras, making them more connected than ever.

Looks like THIS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_QuickTake), Apple are gonna sue for sure :P

On a more serious note, I really like this idea... can't wait to try one out! The idea of being able to constantly change the software on your digital camera is quite appealing to say the least...

I wonder what the battery life would be like. Interesting though!

Funny that you said this... The black camera on the left has rounded corners AND the button on screen is a circle with a square in it. Does that seem familar to a oh-so controversial product? :P

I wonder if Samsung will provided a photo editing app as standard on the camera, it could benefit them in the long run and give new app developers a new market to work in. Win-win!

I think it's a brilliant idea, JB is super smooth enough to be able to run something like this without lag and because it runs a proper OS, sharing photos will be piss easy. I've used previous camera that can connect to WiFi and they're always pretty crappy. It will be interesting to see if you could root this.
