Just upgraded my Legend to a Galaxy S II, and there's something irritating me.

On my Legend, I had all my SIM contacts duplicated to the phone (but with things like emails and photos added), and when someone rang or texted me, it would use the phone entry.

On the Galaxy, same setup but it seems to default to the SIM card entry. I have set the phonebook to only display contacts on the phone.

Is there a way I can force it to use the fuller and picture profiles I've got on the phone memory, without deleting the SIM card contacts?

I know you said without deleting SIM contacts, but seriously, that's the best solution. SIM memory is limited so I'm surprised it held them all/all of a contacts data, but you shouldn't need it nowadays considering Android phones sync up to Google or whatever sync provider you use.

I suppose I'll have to suck it up and do it. Chances are when I next upgrade in 2 years, the phone I get will use a micro-SIM anyway. How do I sync my contacts to Google? I see a Merge with Google option inside COntacts, is that it?

EDIT: Managed to import them all to Google. If the SIM needs putting in another phone I'll pick up a USB SIM reader and transfer the contacts over from the PC.
