Click-to-Run is a new Office technology that allows you to run office without all the parts, then when you want a bit of the program that isn't downloaded, it does it in the background (ever noticed a delay in things working after you click the button). It uses that Q "partition" to hold the data, without removing Office, you can't remove it, just ignore it.

From M$:

"This means you installed Office 2010 using Click-to-Run. Click-to-Run is based on Application Virtualization technology. The Q:\ drive is the virtual file system drive where virtualized apps "live" in the file system namespace. The Q:\ drive is not a real drive; it has no space and is not accessible from Windows Explorer or “My Computer”."

I really dislike it when people name Microsoft MS with the dollar sign. There is no need for it :P
