Habbox Wiki - What can we do better?

Habbox Wiki is now around six months old and we've come a long way since the release, I think we've gone from around 200 articles at release to over 700. We've now catalogued information about just about every furni - Including prices, release dates, how many are in existance etc., we have guides on lots of Games that can be played on Habbox, info about loads of Habbox Managers and a comprehensive guide on nearly every version/revision of Habbo.

I'd like to take your guy's suggestions about what content we should cover, what features we should include, how to improve the way everything looks - Whatever!

One issue that always comes up with Wikis is Navigation, so I'd love to hear some suggestions in what specifically we can add that'll help you guys get around!

Don't think that's needed, official habbox rooms would be as far as I'd suggest and maybe not even that. Room popularity change all the time, you cant define who are notable habbos too as its based on opinion.

For the furniture pages I would suggest making an index so they can just browse them easily and there's too much furniture to list on the navigation itself.

Are you going to be integrating the furniture pages into the Rare Values in the new version of Habbox? Add an option to find out more about the item if they click on it on the RV search.

That's a good idea actually, I'll talk to the coders about that. We already include the rare values themselves, but adding a link on the RV page to the Wiki page and getting some of the other info automatically would be good.

If that page has been updated, you will see the updates when V7 arrives (Don't ask when because I have no idea xD). I don't even know if that page is on V7 or not I'm too lazy to check.

A lot of the Guides on Habbox.com are not being moved to V7 and are going to be on the Wiki only, I do not believe that Past Events is going to stay in V7 as this type of content makes more sense to belong on the Wiki.

You do the Top Contributor Award - just ensure that does go to the quality posts not quantity which I'm sure that happens already with the discussion we have.

Also, as you know I've PMed you a lot unsure about which pages to do, what I suggest is that (after we've done more categorising maybe) is that a thread is made maybe in 'Development Announcements' (not sure where it can go unless you did it in 'Questions/Queries' wherby you construct a list of some pages that are in need of help (I know there's categories and navigation for that but as some have said it's hard to find). Basically, you could make a thread, in the thread have a list of some pages that could need to be done (just thought this could go on the Community Portal on the Wiki as I believe we can edit that so anyone could update it if they do a page on there) and it could just give some members an idea on what to do on the Wiki. You could give examples of what it could be set out like, blah blah.

Also, I think what you really need to do is inform members somehow of what should and shouldn't have pages, such as a random member on HxF shouldn't have a page unless it's their user one, you shouldn't have a page just on the Corner Plinth but more rare items than norms.

You get the drift.

Also, the Throne Value doesn't always work as I've said before, this occurs because of the Throne's actual value on the site as I've noticed it can't give a reading on items worth 1 credit usually. This may be solved in v7 not sure.

Just so members know more not to categorise into the bigger category, such as Anna furni would go in Norms not 'Furni' as 'Anna' should go in that range because that's the line it came in.

Here's some info about what I'm taking from this thread.

We will be adding infoboxes, initially automatically generated infoboxes from rare values data from habbox.com and we'll slowly be adding other info boxes for stuff like staff, rooms etc.

We need to improve exposure to important pages, specifically an easy way to get into the category structure. There's a already a plan in the works to redesign the front page so we'll try and get some featured content visible there rather than blabbing on about inconsequential stuff and a great big link into the main categories.
