Dear Death,
We have not met,
Yet soon we will meet -
This is to be
The only truth
In a sea of uncertainty.
Dear Life,
We are so close,
But we shall soon part -
For I'm sorry to say
I have someone to see,
After this sea of uncertainty.
Poem I came up with in the past half hour or so when setting myself a challenge to write an apostrophe, which is an address to an absent person or abstract idea - in this case, Life and Death. I'm quite proud of it as I usually write simple, nursery-like poems, if anything. I constantly changed things around, and in the end I just thought I'd post it as it is, possibly unfinished. Criticism and comments are welcome. :)
