Have you tried feeding the crab? But in all seriousness if someone can link me to say a newer version of it or something that only has the 1 Player mode so we can see if it fixes it then that would be sweet.

The Moon Lander game takes me back to the forum index instead of the leaderboard after I've lost. Not sure if it records the score or not. The "Score to beat" shows "jesus" as the winner, but the leaderboard shows "Kecio". I think the whole thing just needs a big overhaul... I do quite enjoy playing in it though. Would be good if we could start our own tournaments.

Luck and persistence. :P And yes I agree, I had to zoom in when I played that.

Obviously cos I'm very competitive and like winning I would rather not have the highscores reset however from a less biased point of view I think that would be the right decision after the four months or so (was it that long? :S) it wasn't available.

Although major part of VB. They should take charge over such popular features, it was disgraceful when there were cracks in the arcade originally, which meant a possible of hacking was quite realistic.

I don't see IPB offering an arcade plugin part of their software so it seems the problem can be shown on both sides of the platform. IPB is good forum software but it isn't a reason to start comparing them both in regards of an arcade plugin :P

Yeh I was talking in general there because VB releases with bugs and some crap features, which always need patching up :(. Plus I kinda liked the fact IPB looked more modern and you could do more with it etc.

Although on the subject of the arcade, would be great to have some tournaments again, all good for promoting some more enthusiasm on the forum!

Fresh start and a lot of people asked for the scores to be reset. I can't say if they will be reset again in the future.

Yes, but now you can go and set them again. It's no big deal and it has been a long time since the arcade was last used so made sense to start again.

I love how I've played four games (Pacman, Asteroids, Breakout and Tennis Keep Ups) and it hasn't saved the scores at all. The plugin is completely useless.

Dam you. Anyway, I've disabled the arcade for the time being - This is so I can look into it more over the weekend. I would try one of the other plugins but I'm not a huge fan of them, well I'm not a fan of this one. The other main one seems 50/50 to me due to the security issue they had in the past with it - It's now fixed but you know. If I can't get extra games submitting scores correctly then the arcade will probably disappear again.

Update:

I believe I have found a solution to the arcade problems and have been testing it with some games and the scoring seems to be working as it should. I won't release it just yet as there is a few big styling problems with it on the 2011 skins and Recursion; will be fixing them tomorrow.

Although all scores that are in the current arcade will be wiped fully and it will be a complete fresh start.

Will be some what different and under a new name. It will be mainly a 1v1 which could be a downside to the change but at least the score submission bug which was the major one being fixed.

Not using v3 arcade, using the one made by DBTech. Also didn't go for IPB due to previous security issues that left forums crippled if the exploit was used. I know it has been fixed now but I just feel 50/50 by it.
