Saturday - 10am - 7pm

english+creative writing with a 70/30 split so 1 for each english module and creative writing is taught in 2 hour seminars. Got 1 seminar for each english module too!

but i do like tons of outside work so it's not all plain sailing!!

A twenty minute walk isn't bad :P I have to get up at half five, stand at a freezing railway station at 7 and travel 30 miles every day to uni :P 2 trains, 4 buses every day. Then again I'm only in 3 days this semester.

Yeah but if you have 20 hours of lectures you can't be doing the same amount of outside work as I would at the end of the day - there's not enough hours in the week! Not trying to make it a competition here though :p

I had sport first thing on a Monday as well in school, absolute death. I missed sport for 3 out of 5 years at school though so meh xD. I didn't know that some schools offered GCSE Law really, thought it was incredibly uncommon.

Citizenship is so pointless. It was called urm... PSHE (Personal Social Health Education) here until yr 10/11 when it was "Life Skills". I can't remember learning a single thing for it :L

I'm doing a third year at sixth form (yay) thats why theres only two A2 subjects on there, resitting maths to have a better chance of getting into a good uni. Apparently they are adding general studies and careers on there next week, i can hardly wait.

OK NOW I'M PISSED.

MY SIXTH FORM HAS BLOODY DECIDED TO PUT PROGRESSION AND GENERAL STUDIES IN THE TUESDAY FREES. SO INSTEAD OF COMING IN AT LIKE 11:30 I GOTTA COME IN AT 9:00

WHY DO THEY HATE ME SO MUCH?

I don't start again until the 24th so I haven't got my full personal timetable yet, but I've tried to work it out from looking at my potential modules, and I seem to be in half a day Thursday and all day Friday, which, if that's correct, I guess I'm pretty happy about. Friday is going to be killer, but five-day weekends? Yes, please. Although realistically I'll probably have to be in for a couple of hours on some other day, too.

I don't start until October, so I won't have my 3rd year timetable for a bit... Hopefully it's not too spread out, and maybe I'll have a day off again this year :)

My brother has quadruple PE on a Friday though, that doesn't sound very nice :P

I start this timetable at Sixth Form tomorrow, we've been on a induction day(s) timetable for the past two days :')
Monday: Psychology, Theatre Studies, Maths, Directed Study, Directed Study
Tuesday: Directed Study, Personal Tutor, Theatre Studies, Maths, English Language
Wednesday: Theatre Studies, Directed Study, Psychology, English Language, Directed Study, Directed Study
Thursday: Directed Study, Psychology, Directed Study, English Language, Maths
Friday: Maths, English Language, Psychology, Theatre Studies, Directed Study

Directed Study is basically a 'free' lesson where you're meant to do homework/coursework for your subjects. If you have one first thing in the morning then you get to go in later than you usually do and if they are at the end of the day you get to go home early :)

13.30 - 14.30 - Social Science (it's supposed to be communications but our tutor swapped it to Friday instead, so we can have a nice Friday afternoon :P)
14.30 - 15.30 - Legal Practice and Procedure

Wednesday

10.30 - 11.30 - Psychology
11.30 - 12.30 - Care Support
13.30 - 14.30 - Social Studies
14.30 - 15.30 - Political Studies

13.30 - 14.30 - Psychology
14.30 - 15.30 - Political Studies

Friday

09.15 - 10.15 - Psychology
10.30 - 11.30 - Intercultural Studies
11.30 - 12.30 - Legal Practice and Procedure
13.30 - 15.30 - Communications

Legal practice and procedures twice on a Monday is awful, it's actually such a boring class I swear :'( Thursday is horrible aswell!! I also do another course on Monday evenings and Wednesdays, it's called ECDL and just all about computers, it's from 6pm - 9pm. I'm also not entirely sure, but for the next few weeks instead of psychology I think I'll be doing Social Science, which is a major bummer :'(

4 hours a week with only 1 lecturer? That's value for money right there! :P

I don't have any lectures at all! Just 2x2hour seminars for this semester, but I'll have an extra 2 2-hour seminars for the first few weeks of term, then hour-long 1on1 meetings for my Writing Project (like a dissertation)

Hugh Owen is a building not a person ;)

It's a bit frustrating, especially for the people in the year below who'll be paying 9k but they can't charge more or less per course (stupid rule)

My frees on Monday and Tuesday have been good so far. Could go get breakfast on a Monday and because it's getting coldddd I can get hot chocolate from town, much better than just staying in that café where people shout too loud. :(

Urg the cafe is hell, the only time I ever went in there was on the taster day. The only problem is it will start to rain a lot soon which will make the walk rather unpleasant for various reasons :P I also realised that you could meet some people I once knew which is quite odd in a way :S

I don't mine the café. You get a few idiots throwing food down from the upstairs which is annoying but other than that it can be bearable (more so in frees though lol!) Hate it when it gets too loud but I guess I'll get used to it. LOL anyone I should look out for? I can't even tell 1st years from 2nd years apart so I can't see it helping... lmao.

LOL yeah you probably will. Lol no not really, the people I knew were pretty standard (though I haven't spoken to some in years (some are the same age as you) and could have become odd in that time). Though if you don't know already you should avoid the ground floor spectrum computers...

The urr, "special" people use them which can sometimes make things rather awkward. That sounds really intolerant but when you try to work and yeah... Sometimes it can be quite funny, there used to be a guy who would come up to the media computers (yeah not spectrum but w/e) every morning around 8:40 and tap everyone on the shoulder and wave to them. Then he just stopped coming ;( . Oh also the malay(?) people tend to hang around there screaming at the top of their lungs.

Pretty much every computer is slow as **** except the ones in the annexe.

My timetable varies each week which is a bit annoying but I'm generally in uni for at least 4 days a week. I have blocks of uni and blocks of placement so 6 weeks uni then 6 weeks placement etc. This year I have 4 months uni and 6 months clinical practice.

We can eat after the 1pm lecture, or if you manage to eat in the 10 minute breaks between classes which are usually spent catching a bus to get to the other end of campus since it's so big, so you pretty much wait till a free period to eat.

That computer science timetable sounds sucky, but I suppose it isn't bad if you live on/near the Uni since you can go home for a few hours. I don't, so it sucks having any breaks for me :P Will have to sit in the Library and work :P

My fiancée's timetable finishes at 8pm on a Tuesday, and she has to catch a bus from campus, to the train station, catch a train, then catch another bus to get home, meaning she gets home just before 11pm. Luckily she has Wed/Thurs/Fri off :P

---------- Post added 24-09-2013 at 04:49 PM ----------

Oh, and to get to my 9pm lecture, I want to catch the 7.15am bus, so I usually get up at 6.30am. So a 9-6 day, I'm out of the house for 7-7.15pm. 12 hour day :(
