Ok, I've been toiling over this for quite some time I just can't seem to figure out a solution. I know what I want doing but can't figure out a way to make it happen (maybe I'm making a little error I'm not sure).. I'm sure it CAN be done though. Ok so the problem:

I am trying to emulate the iPhone game 'flow' on habbo.

So far - you pull the lever (green one only one done atm).. that moves a duck onto a plate near the back (so the game knows to colour the tiles green) and moves the pod into the game area. You can the move the pod using the arrows on the floor.

Now the bit I can't do.

I cannot colour each individual tile. So what I want to happen is - you move the pod, and it colours the tile it has just landed on.

Solution maybe - track the pod, but then how will it colour the tiles?
Solution maybe - don't track the pod, tiles can be coloured but it colours 5 tiles at once (unless u want to use 2000c of wired like what may happen).

Any help and you're a legend you get +14 rep because I'm at wits end.

THANK YOU:):):)

Does anyone think this can even be done? I'm sure there's a way.. But I just can't figure it out.

I don't quite think the required kind of conditions are available yet, and if it was possible it'd require so much Wired just to do all the checks. It's a really adventurous idea though, but I don't think you can fully automate it right now with what's in the catalogue.

Have you thought about using Battle Banzai tiles? They seem kind of ideal after looking briefly at the game!

You could have all 4 colour gates, then a 6x6 grid like you've made, only with Banzai Arena Tiles. The player can enter the 'arena' and match the puzzle up a colour at a time. Saying a phrase like 'Return' then puts them in front of all 4 gates to change their colour. Just an idea, I think Wired really is too basic right now to set up something that adventurous!

That really is a good idea. Thanks very much!

Thinking outside the box :P

Unfortunately, the banzai tiles do not recognise the furni states have changed. So i can't match furni states and therefore can't make the room :(

can you not have the user stand on the tiles to change the colours instead of the pods? im almost sure i seen this in a maze (where you have to match the colours to the one you made already, if this is what you're looking for lol)

Agh, I've started to get the feeling this is very possible! I'm working on a miniature version of my own, if I'm not dead from exhaustion I'll try and get to you with a solution.

Ummm I tried doing that but it all gets very complex.. If it was done that way, i'd need only the tile the user is on to be coloured, also for the wired to know which colour to colour the tile.

I can get it to work but with my way there is a terrible flaw. When you stand on one tile, it colours five tiles. (As the tiles need to be selected in order for their state to be changed).

If you can, could you try and locate the room. +rep

i know the maze if thats any use? i dont know who owns it but the first room is huge and has like water on one side and petals on the other and you have to guess the right pod in each row like 15 times to complete the first level.

Richie; might know, i did it with him

For the exact game room you're doing (I'm guessing there are 4 colour pods and each tile has to be able to turn to four different colours if necessary) you'll need 4 loads of 6x6 stacked wired, each with a repeat trigger, furni matches effect and furni condition, sadly I doubt you want to do this as it would cost 19c x 144 (aka a lot of credits).

hey911 uses a similar game in that it has user walks on trigger and furni state effect individually for each tile (8c x 36), also normies' maze has an even cheaper one that uses levers to trigger a full row of colour tiles which is a unique puzzle.

I haven't played Flow so I don't think I could suggest anything better.

You could adjust the banzai idea slightly to make it super expensive again, you'll still need 144 furni matches effects - but you could make it so when the lever is pulled lots of furni matches effects land on top of user walks on furni, this would still cost about 1000c, but the original idea would have cost around 3000c.

agh, we just need more wired really.
