Just wondering on opinions really. It seems to almost becoming a trend - bands like 30stm and Rise Against (except the drummer) are vegan. I can't really understand the appeal, but would probably try vegetarianism.
If there are any vegans or vegetarians out there just would like to know why really.

I guess it's to do with morals, although I must admit, I don't see why. We are omnivores and have teeth to eat meat; it's literally in our genes to eat other animals, just as other animals eat other animals - it's a simple food chain.
I don't agree with the inhumane killing of animals though, but honestly, I'd rather stay ignorant on the details as I love meat too much to give it up.

I imagine it's a tad more complex then you think.
Anyway I guess I may be vegetarian, don't like calling myself one though as it implies it's because of morals when really, I just don't like anything about meat. Well initially there was a moral side to it, but then I came to see how ******ed I was for thinking like that.

Our teeth is in our genes, and our teeth help us eat meat. I came to the conclusion that eating meat is in our genes. Also, our bodies are good at turning meat into vitamins etc. that are vital to healthy living.

i don't like most meat or i'm picky about how it's prepared, so usually i tick the vegetarian option or tell people in advance that i don't eat meat.
the reply i get is usually cynical, something along the lines of 'are you one of them vegetarians'
no, i just don't like the taste of meat........
don't see anything wrong with it. if that's what they believe is right then go for it, it's not affecting anyone else.
as long as they get all the nutrition they need to live a healthy life through other sources i don't see a problem
I'm not either but being a vegan would be sooo hard. It's one thing not eating meat but I really couldn't do without things like eggs and milk.

I don't think I could manage to go vegan, my uncle was one for a little bit and he just didn't look great. I understand vegetarianism and pescetarians etc - that's fair enough. It's just ruling out any animal product really limits you diet - if I was a rockstar I think I'd have to turn to Elvis' diet.

I used to be vegan, but it caused so many family arguments and upsets that I came down to vegetarian :P
I hate the texture of meat! Especially red meat :(
