Ok i'm looking a good waterproof camera that can take still photos and video.
I have found two which are the:

Pentax Optio WG1
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Search/searchTerms/PENTAX+OPTIO+WG1.htm

and the

Panasonic DMC-FT20
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5626843/Trail/searchtext%3EPANASONIC+FT20.htm

Which one of these would you say is the best or is ther one better than these

I'm looking to spend at most of £150 and im looking for a digital camera sort (not one that looks like a camcorder)

The first one has a lower pixel count, but on a compact that's not really relevant. It does, however, go down 10m deep (Rather than just 5m) and from looking at the specs I reckon it'll be better in the low light situations of under water.

I'd go with the first. Water proof cases for camera are actually far better than you'd think though so don't count them out if you have a camera already. My sister's boyfriend has one for his SLR and it takes pretty decent underwater shots.

If you had no budget I'd say go for a GoPro HD Hero 2. Can't go wrong with it.

Is it waterproof?

As long as you buy it with the case, that's the entire point of the camera.

That's not the point of a GoPro... To take still pictures that is.

We use an Olympus uTough 8010, which will go underwater up to 10 meters. Would highly recommend them.

Our's is the previous generation of http://www.olympus.co.uk/site/en/c/cameras/digital_cameras/tough/tg_810/index.html

I said it was the point of the camera in reply to it being waterproof. And yes the HD Hero 2 does take still pictures as well as video.

I had one of these (http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&safe=off&q=Fujifilm+xp30&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&biw=1279&bih=592&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=16280363677347285604&sa=X&ei=aPJZUKLgKMrB0gWh-ICgCQ&ved=0CHYQ8wIwBA)

The only problem I found with when using it in different light conditions, is that the light would reflect off the layer of plastic that protects the lens making the photo's turn out rubbish.
