Is there any chance of setting a standard for quizzes regarding spelling? It gets bloody annoying losing snq or w/e due to spelling, then losing another quiz where you are the first to spell it right but lose because spelling isn't taken into account (within reason). It's frustrating as hell and I could have won snq if spelling wasn't taken into account or other quizzes if it was.
Also I'd like to add about SNQ tonight, surely when I put "Da Vinci" it should have been accepted as it would have been recognised and a full name wasn't asked for.

lol it's ridiculous if they do it based on grammar/spelling. so elitist. not everyone can spell well but can still have general knowledge, they need an answer not the spelling and if it's easy to guess what the person is trying to say then it should be allowed. shouldn't be switching between whether the spelling matters or not, that's just favouritism and everyone who loses because of spelling are gonna be annoyed so may as well make spelling not matter at all. aware my grammar is awful here.
It's normally based on how lazy the host is feeling but in SNQ spelling has always counted. Since the question before the da vinci question asked for full name of ludwig van beethoven I would be inclined to agree with you that Da Vinci would be acceptable but even so, I still would have beaten you! The hosts are meant to inform whether spelling or grammar counts before the question or quiz. Same goes with the name and whether abbreviations are allowed. That's what I've been told my rosy before and all hosts should adhere to it.
Ok so in topics like ft, fm it's mainly obvious you need to be exact.

First of all, I need to say every in every Habbox Quiz I enter checks for the spelling. Same with SNQ obviously. Someone could type ''wetbewrthgberthb'' and say ''Oh, I meant the right answer! It was a typo!'' That wouldn't make sense. I lose quizzes because of spelling too, but I take it and move on. I totally disagree about it being favoritism. If it was, we would all misspelling from people we like and not from others.
About the Beethoven question, I did say ''(all three names)'', so no reason to complain about that. About Da Vinci, I admit I didn't say the same as the previous one, but you could have, I don't know, meant the band Da Vinci? Giving the full name he is known by is always better..
Anyway Kyle would still have won, like he said. Well done. B2S Points and VIP requested.

In all honesty I've never heard of that band. You are meant to say before the quiz if spelling matters, you are meant to say if it doesn't for a question or whether you want it specifically. Ms.Aquamarine; told me this ages ago as it made me lose too. Also, it is favouritism to an extent as sometimes people allow for some and not others which also should be informed before.
No you can't just go wjufhjriueujerju and say it meant something, if they typo and it's similar such as Justin Beiber as opposed to Justin Bieber, I think that's closer than your random keyboard slam you did. It's going off their word when they just go didjjejerjjhe and it's obvious they didn't mean the correct answer.
The answer was right with Da Vinci anyway? Would it matter if it was the band, no it wouldn't as it's the same name.

First of all, google that band. Second, it's obvious spelling matters. It always have and always will. In ALL quizzes. I've never been to one where it didn't count. It wouldn't make sense if it didn't count. Also at least in my case and I think most cases, it's not favouritism because if I don't allow it to someone, I won't allow it to anyone. I think I'm pretty fair about that.
So if someone typos 3 times and someone else doesn't typo at all, but they say it almost at the same time, although the person who tyoped said before. That person should win? I totally disagree with this. If someone is careful enough not to typo, they win.
And Leonardo da Vinci was correct as that is his name and I didn't ask for only his LAST name.

You didn't ask for his full name either according to form.
Also, spelling may not matter, typos are sometimes allowed but this should be informed before. In my shout it out I allowed typos, of course if I knew what they said I'd allow it, someone said something like 'beieg' meaning 'beige' you can't speak at the same time as someone and if you know what the first person meant then I'd accept it. However, it's upto the host but you should always say if it does or doesn't before the question or the round. Like I said earlier, if it's a specific thing such as fm, ft then yes make sure it's correct but getting 1 letter one? That isn't that bad.
Haven't been to a quiz where spelling didn't matter? Can't have been to my events then.
Spelling has ALWAYS mattered in the snq!

Oh I must have had bad hosts then as sometimes they allowed typos :P.
Also Kikali I know you're fair.
I was never told we had to inform people if spelling mattered at the start of the SNQ. However I agree that spelling does matter in the SNQ.

Whilst I agree it should be stated everytime, it should also always be the same for all habbox events.

Could be but maybe it depends on the event too.

Like Kyle said, spelling has always mattered in SNQ and every other quiz I've been to from Habbox, like I've said. Typos always matter as well that's why I don't inform when it doesn't matter, because it always does. For example, I would never accept ''beieg'' instead of ''beige''. I guess I'll have to start going to your events to win as well. xD

Where's the rule saying spelling matters, it's upto the host atm?

Sure, but there should be a good reason, not just on the EO's whim as it's confusing for players.

Then I guess the Managers should establish that rule as I, for example, only host like this because I learned this way from other SNQ hosts.

Lmao for me with hosting, cause of endless trivia to me it would always be correct spelling or nout. I would definitely say tho that spellig should matter tho, even typos shouldn't rly be allowed imo

1) You clearly don't know the difference between a typo and just a load of random letters if you think that is a typo.
2) I'm not sure who mentioned favouritism.
3) You said all three for Beethoven yes, so I could quite easily say you didn't want them all for Da Vinci because you didn't ask for it.
4) Never heard of that band in my life.
5) If the typos and Da Vinci were allowed, he would not have. Anyway the typos and misspellings were more general rather than directly aimed at yesterdays SNQ.

1. I was giving an example. I couldn't be bothered to think about an exact word.
2. Favouritism was mentioned by someone (cba to go check who) so if you give yourself the trouble to look at other comments, you'll see.
3. Like said above, I asked for his name. Not his last name only. So I could also say that.
4. Not my fault if you haven't. I have.
5. Like also said above, typos were never allowed in SNQ. And if someone actually does this is a problem, I'm sure the management will interfeer and quickly create some rules.
Quizzes need to be more well organized in general. I've been to some in the past where I heard the host go "lol can't think or anymore questions". Or if they can, it's the same old boring questions on a loop.
and yeh of course there needs to be a standard.
