In a UK television first, Jon Snow and Dr Christian Jessen present two programmes that follow volunteers as they take MDMA, the pure form of ecstasy, as part of a ground-breaking scientific study

Be interesting to see how much they demonise it and just what the volunteers will react like on camera

Can someone tell me how they're actually getting away with doing this? It's going to be a really interesting watch though, deffo watching it.

I always though MDMA was a drug very much dependent on environment, and so if they're carrying this out in a medical environment with very little stimulation, the effects wont be applicable to real life huh

Coolio, I'll try to remember to watch it. Saw a similar thing once in a clip in PSE at school where a guy had alcohol administered intravenously steadily in a controlled environment to see his reaction. Before long he was flirting outrageously with the technician administering the test :P

Apparently the doses are so low that they hardly feel anything

Bit like doing an alcohol one and giving each person a bottle of wkd

Oh I have this recorded (first ep.), I gather it's not very good now from the above comments :P. Meh, I'll still watch both of them this weekend and see what it's like.

Completely agree with the sentiments that the show was terrible and particularly boring. It would have been infinitely better as an episode of Horizon from the BBC. There was literally nothing gained from the live part.

I've watched the first part, I agree being live was a bit pointless - I would have gained exactly the same information even it wasn't nice. I still found it rather interesting though? Must just be me :P
