I always wax my hair, but its harder and it uses more wax if your hair is dry, so wet your hair and dry it so that its damp then style it ;)

Gel is alright at times, but wax is better for styling.
Gel is more for quickly shaping youre air, wax hold youre hair better xD

I used to have 4 spikes then a emo style but now it's near my shoulders so i can't really do much with it :s I used shockwave wax

I don't but no **** in my hair, but erm I think boys look better with nothing in their hair, spiked gelly hair makes you look gay, especially with highlights.
