karter;
I was worried about these, went to hospital. But they aren't really much to be worried about, I've had them for a while.
I mainly see mine in lighter places (Like looking at a screen or sky)

were you given any medication, coz it says they are not curable :(
I only get stuff like this when I'm idle for long periods of time and I suddenly get up and move etc and blood rushes to my eyes

Nope, no medication. I think you should only be worried if you see flashes, which is why they ask me if I did.
But you should be fine, yeah they're annoying but I've had to get used to them!!!

Hmm. I guess i'll live with them too unless they increase in number. that would be very bad omg

They're not an issue. Is just a shadow on in the gel of your eyes.

Yeah they're pretty annoying, especially when focusing on work. It distracts me.
Yeah it's pretty bad if the increase, it's just double how annoying they get., I don't think I could live if there was loads more.

Yup I read about it. Honestly I don't see the reason why people think they are not a threat. They are very annoying, just very very annoying. Just imagine an itch which can't be cured. It is not really harmful but will trouble you for your whole life. Plus I am just 16 and I am seeing these. When I grow older, they might be more in number and more annoying.

I thought they were cool too, I rarely saw them.... moving really slowly, and they were transparent so it made them less annoying. But in recent months, I've noticed that they move around too fast, are grey-brownish and don't go away easily. Whenever I look at something bright or plane like the sky I see one

They are actually white cells in your vitreous humour (the gel). Unless you have a retinal tear

I've had them as long as I can remember. I only notice them now when I'm staring at the sky or if somebody brings it up.
They annoy me sooo much I wish I could look one straight on ;l

I like them too! Mine tend to go away after I've had a good sleep, or a few nights good sleep. Maybe they're just less noticeable?

i don't really get them.
but they must mean something if you do get them because when i go to the opticians they always ask if you get those floater things, but i always say no.

I get them frequently. Always the same shape and in the right eye.
I'm not worried about it though. I always end up trying to chase it, but when i move my eye to look centre at it, it moves away ;_;
Floaters occur in the vitreous jelly of the eye, which is usually clear. They
are pieces of debris that cast shadows onto the retina. It is the shadows that
someone who has floaters is able to see.
Floaters most commonly develop as part of the natural ageing process, as the
eyes get older. In most cases, they do not cause any significant problems and do
not require treatment.

I tend to get them while I'm driving through bad rainy conditions, or if I'm looking into water (like being underwater with goggles on).

i used to get them when I was young, but not anymore. I can make myself see them if I want, but they all disappear unless somehow I make them appear. It's rather weird...
I always thought my eyes were picking up little flecks of dust :p I don't see them that often though. If I'm tired and turn my head around whilst straining my eyes I see black flashy spots sometimes. That's probably not good.

I get them when I'm outside and it's sunny.
I don't know why :P
but I don't think it's much to worry about. Silly eyes. haha
