Anyone used any programs that scan your computer for things that are slowing down your computer and remove them, that are free?

I already used one but when I'd scanned, it told me how many things I had that should be removed to help my computer but it charged $10 for it, which isn't worth it when there are probably free programs on the internet that do it for free. Any help? Download links please :)

CCleaner (http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER) is always a good place to start, it'll clear some of the junk on your computer - it probably wont make a big difference in terms of speed though.

What are your specs? Processor, RAM etc.

run a defrag and disk cleanup

+1 for ccleaner. cant go wrong with a good format every few months either.

I use the free version of Advanced System Care, try that
