well it is cause you could accidently go into wildy accidently right click money pouch accidently click withdraw accidently type a large number and get pked

as you're unable to put money into your pouch in the wildy you'd die and lose it

Some items are automatically kept when you die, and do not count towards the three items protected on death. This is because they are quest items, or are useful-but-common items that would be awkward to retrieve if you lost them. Coins are also protected in this way.

Yes but that's ignored if you go into wildy

ie if your in normal area, sextant clues etc are protected, soon as you go into wilderness all the automatically protected stuff aren't protected. :P

I've never understood why people with low stats put their money in rares.

You could easily buy 99 range, cook, fletch, fm, craft, smith, con, sum and dg.

So why are the majority of your stats ~50? :S If it's legit i'm assuming you made most of it from RWT/Habbo >RS trades? judging by your stats no way you made enough to get phats (even years ago when they were cheap :P) unless you've had them from when they came out?

but yeah, get rid of a phat and buy 99s ;ll

I've been playing RS for years off and on, so it's been a combination of merching while I play and holding rares while I don't (like now). Occasionally I come back and play for a month or two, but I'm not exactly a serious RS player anymore.

The reason I don't max other skills is simply because I don't have the time ;)

Thing is from what Scott was saying u need a good amount of money to start merching anyway, and frankly money is always better put in skills tbh due to stuff like new grandmaster quests, and also high levelled money making methods that provide tons when they first arrive. But nice phats anyway ;o

when i played, i always sort of hesitated on spending money on skills directly. like i didnt really spend money on skills like range to level them, but rather just trained it via slayer. some people like saving a cash pile and others like to spend it on skills. in the end, whatever floats your boat is best :P

When that video was made, it was actually quite a lot - at least in terms of RS > Habbo conversion. For a long time the fastest way to build up wealth was to play RS and trade over, but that's long gone.

I remember when thrones were around what, 52 hc on UK? a hc was worth 50k at the time, so 5100k for a throne was the exchange rate... this was before the merger, of course, where thrones were much, much more valuable than they are today (HC's could be considered the equivalent of today's gold bars).

Super rares used to be traded for partyhats on this forum, but the inflation of RSGP has changed that a lot. Runescape used to be the 'valuable' currency, but now it hardly means anything in terms of Habbo value since most items (including supers) are easily bought through buying credits.

Yes, seaweed was one of my specialties ;)

To be honest, I can't remember how I made money. But recently I've been doing fishing and woodcutting which gives a decent profit.

Flax/bowstring may be my next move though!

My final goal is a full rare set (Phats, cracker, wine, pump, disk, egg, mask set, santa), I'm not all that far off. Once I grab a red and a yellow it's just picking up the lowers & a cracker :P

It's amazing how much in-game buying power has increased - all rares have gone up, while everything else dropped. Glad I held disks when I did ;)
