The idea that we should take all these different countries in Europe, force them together against their democratic will, and put them under the control of people like Herman Van Rompuy is, frankly, beyond belief. These are very, very dangerous, bad people,they want to stop nation-state democracy.

Media Alert: Support for the three main parties falls as UKIP rises

Voting intentions poll shows CON 29% (-2), LAB 42% (-2), LD 7% (-1), UKIP 10% (+2), OTHER 11% (+2)

A new poll finds the Conservatives, Labour and the Liberal Democrats all with reduced vote shares, whilst UKIP surges upwards to 10 per cent, overtaking the Lib Dems in the process.

For the first time in TNS BMRB’s polling, UKIP support is being separated from that of the smaller parties, to better reflect their improved performance in recent months.

Conference season polls are traditionally more volatile than throughout the rest of the year, and UKIP’s vote share appears unusually high. It will be interesting to see if this is sustained or if they fall back in weeks to come.

From little acorns grow mighty oaks considering UKIP only polled 1% to 3% around two or three years ago.

Whilst this is excellent news and certainly indicates progress, I believe it is fairly hazardous to read into polls too much, considering statistics can easily be twisted. Particularly with small samples.

Agreed. Plus voter opinions will most likely change on the day or many of these people probably won't end up voting anyway and are just taking part in polls.

Interesting news though for Ukip. One of few parties who have an idea of their goals, rather than make them up based on skewered public opinion.
