I would delay launching it until 1.4 is released and Tekkit is patched for 1.4. The terrain generation will be updated etc. so it's a bit of a waste to update before then.

I guess. I'll happily play on the server under the assumption that I can have 12 free diamonds right off, once you have 12 diamonds getting into the tekkit stuff is way faster as you can build an energy condenser.

Is this latest version? Some tekkit servers stay back a version.

Yes you need the loader in the link below. You login to that with minecraft login details rather than minecraft download.

Yes it works now. Even after you update you should keep it simple let people build their own towns rather than having a town where we get a plot. Then maybe we could build transport system between towns.

I updated my Java and it still says Update failed :( Now I think about it it's probably because I was using the recent snapshot and now I'm using 1.4. I need to wait for everything to update.

Some people have trouble with AVG antivirus I believe it is. Try stopping the service and running the launcher again if you are using it. If not, try temporarily stopping whatever antivirus you happen to have as well as anything else that may be causing issues like a firewall. Also, if this isn't your home connection, that may also be causing problems (like a college connection that may have blocked ports).
