We have heard case after case of people speaking against Homosexuality on the streets who have been arrested. We have heard cases of grandparents wanting to adopt their own grandchild being blocked because of their views on homosexuality. We have heard the case of the B&B owners who refused two men to share a bed in their own property, being taken to court under 'discrimination' laws.
Case after case after case, freedom of speech has been slowly taken away from us - mainly it may be said, by the acts of the last Labour government who brought in the likes of the Human Rights Act (under EU orders), the Equality Act, the Discrimination Laws.... and thankfully we now have a proper campaign here set up, with Rowan Atkinson and Stephan Fry backing it - in an attempt to repeal these draconian laws on free expression. It (common sense) must run in the family, i'm sure his brother (Atkinson) is involved in UKIP.
I back it fully, as the poem goes....
First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the socialists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me.
