Motivation?

Did a quick search, couldn't see anything immediately related to this in a general topic

How do you motivate yourself in general? be it with house chores, your job, work out, study?
Headphones on and Loud music does it for me, gets me focused on what I'm looking at and blocks out surrounding noise.

I just normally listen to music :P Or i think what good im going to get out of it.

i play basketball and it just motivates me to get better when i see people play. competition also drives me to get better. you can never be too good at anything

Music really, other wise It just bores me - music always gives a set pace to work out as well whilst tidying up is just to keep me entertained.

I will normally just watch a funny TV show and it gets me in the mood for anything (no, just no). :P

Nothing really motivates me to work except "oh **** it's due in for tomorrow morning, I was meant to spend a week working on it" :(

music usually helps me out unless it's stuff like homework because then i start to write the lyrics rather than the answers. :P

lol this exactly. there are times when i can get into a zone and do work for hours but that's only if I'm interested in the subject otherwise it's just procrastination all the way.

Fast-approaching deadlines. If it's studying then some soothing classical music usually does the trick too, and if it's working out then social facilitation from others or just listening to the radio works pretty well.

Music and pressure to get the work done to a tight deadline. If I realise I've left my headphones somewhere while I'm at college then I just can't concentrate.

I'm more motivated to do my work under pressure, or a change of scenery like going and doing it in the library. I like doing my work during the night at silly hours too idk why...
