Installed it all... But I forget to get standoffs :(

My old ancient mobo never needed them but this one shorts every time i turned it on so ive rested it on top of the bag it came in in the case with the side open

Is it ok running it like that for a few days until I get some?

You shouldn't really, but I can't see a problem with it.

You should be ok for a few days, surprised you didn't get any stand-offs though.

They usually come with the case rather than motherboard don't they?

I'm slowly upgrading my comp but a case is what I'm buying next

was planning on getting a CoolerMaster HAF 912 Plus but I won't be buying it for another few weeks and as much as I love this new table I have *side of case* it just doesn't feel right so ima just order some standoffs now
