Can’t stand him. He is so unbelievably arrogant and stuck in his ways. His comments get worse by the day!
Behold some of his latest words of wisdom.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/_pobodys_nerfect_/ScreenShot2012-10-26at005153_zpsd3b32223.png

The man clearly doesn’t have a clue and while habbo is under his control, things are only going to get worse.

This habboween, there has literally been no campaign at all. Last year, Kitano had come on board and the hotel was looking on the up. I think everyone really enjoyed the big staff team comp. There were articles to read and different comps to enter. This year we have had one video comp…. :S (And a miracle we even got that!)

Their latest ploy for money is that you can’t purchase any new furniture/effects without buying credits. When you already have a lot of credits in game, I don’t see why we should have to pay more. Fair enough if this was a one off, but you can guarantee we can see this replicated for all future furni ranges like Christmas. Paul thinks it’s ‘mixing things up’ but yet we have had clouds, nuts, diamonds, and now pumpkins. Yea I’m getting bored of the repetitive themed currencies.

I am absolutely sick to death of him blaming current dissatisfaction and people wanting things to return to how they were as everyone being ‘nostalgic’. According to Paul, In 2006, habbos used to complain that they wanted the game to be like how it was in 2003? Um no Paul, a lot of us were users in 2006 and that simply was NOT the case.

Any complaints about current moderation is shrugged off with comments like this.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/_pobodys_nerfect_/ScreenShot2012-10-26at005606_zps473ac174.png
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/_pobodys_nerfect_/ScreenShot2012-10-26at172535_zps0f972256.png

When is this absolute moronic idiot going to relaise numbers are dropping, because people don’t like that there is no staff interaction, poor moderation, no articles or properly ran competitions. (If a news scandal, which had investors pull out can’t persuade him to stop outsourcing his moderation and customer support, I don’t know what will!)

Everything that is brought back, they end up ruining it. It’s always done in a poor half attempt. Paul complained that we wanted homepages, and then never used them when they returned. Well it might actually help if we had stickies and guestbooks, as that was their main use. They brought back room competitions but can’t even be bothered to judge them? And to top it all off, take away useful features such as events and decide to milk it, by making us pay for them.

They don’t give two tosses about fansites. I doubt that we will even have a replacement for Jason. Not that he did much anyway. They should be trying to support us by publishing summary of fansites upcoming events. Informing their moderation of what is a fansite, instead of false banning users. The odd hotel alert wouldn’t go a miss either.

My biggest concern is how lax they are with security, and the fact the help tool has been hacked (three?) times now. During the habbo council in April, members of the council were also forwarded on people’s application, along with the users email. When confronting him about it, he was his reply.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/_pobodys_nerfect_/ScreenShot2012-10-26at011139_zps34bbfb78.png

Charming! He wouldn’t admit to anything. Any private information you give habbo is unsafe, which has been proven time and time again.

Ok, well I think that completes my rant. I will leave you with these statistics, which Richie; sent me x

Oh my gosh this is priceless. In my opinion the failure of Habbo and Sulake is down to Paulaflo. He wants more and more money and does not seem to realise that you both cannot speak to people like that and that if community management and moderation were better, they would make more money.

If they were a British company trading standards would be on them in no time. This reminds me of a case I saw on watchdog the other week where someone had 3 different identities and told one old lady that they were not getting their money back and he hopes they have a slow and painful death.

To summarize, he isn't a good CEO and I believe that he must be held accountable for his mistakes and either resign or be removed by the board (if Sulake even has one).

Actually the idea of the furni using some special currency is quite a good one as it does promote the purchase of credits, but I will say that it goes too far by extending it to large furni ranges and should only really be used on the odd piece of furni. Apart from that, all of his ideas have been stupid and he is destroying it to be honest.

Not fair on the people who already have in game credits though like Kirst said...

Yes but using it on one or two furni in a range doesn't make credits obsolete and can be seen to reward those who actually purchase them, rather than trade or whatever else.

Apparently you were spamming up his twitter with snarky comments, which I can't see in any of the tweets.

Yea the problem is though that you can guarantee he is going to keep doing it for christmas and other furni ranges. Might make some profit in the short term, but will ultimately fail because people will get dissatisfied.

I know and since they were introduced I knew it would get to that stage of which it is a massive mistake.

I agree so much with this. He doesn't even really put even half a heart into Habbo. From what I've seen his comments are usually really cheap and sarcastic to the user, not to mention childish as well.

Yeah I've noticed the sharp decline in population, I remember pre merge there regularly 8k members online, now with about 4 hotels merged together we struggle to maintain half that? Habbo is slowly being killed my this new regime. The sense of community has all but vanished.

5 hotels (and some who redirected to various ones already) the merge killed a lot off, due to communication and such, they found other things and Paul LaFontaine can't make it better.

I really wish we could go back to 2006, but the only chance this will ever happen is if I google for an old school retro.

I really don't understand how they don't realise numbers are dropping. I remember 10-40k being online on .co.uk at points.

Habbo have made too many mistakes. I don't understand how they think they're doing the right thing or how they're making profit.

Number one thing that needs to happen for habbo to have any chance to build itself back up is to Fire Paul and Find someone who actually knows what their doing.
#2. Stop trying to bring in fast money as its dropping players and in the long run they wont have noone left to buy credits meaning no money for Habbo.
#3. Bring back the Community Feel like;
-Onsite News
-Onsite Forums
-Compitions
-Hotel Managers like Puffin, Smoothcriminal....
#4 Give habbos a reason to come on habbo, like give 1 credit for every hour you spend on habbo or an equivalent currency.
#5 Make habbo an enjoyable place for kids and the kids at heart.

Really Everything under #1 would be easily accomplished if they Fire Mr. LaNub as he is killing habbo.
He doesn't understand that he is talking to kids on twitter and all they want is their good ol' Habbo back, as Habbo is ours andwe need it back!

Michael
05-11-2012, 09:32 PM
If habbo want their users back, they need to get rid of retros - once and for all. If I had a pound for every time i've seen people spamming retros, telling me they're going on a retro or that they're quitting to play on a retro - i'd be a millionaire.

We're are cool now, don't worry guys he's going to sort everything out. Fix all of Habbo's problems.

You know the second resurrection of Christ? We might just have that in the form of Paul and Habbo.
