I only got my Galaxy Nexus in April sometime :P It looks like an amazing phone though, and shockingly cheap too. Enjoy it whenever it comes out (mid-Nov?)

Is it more powerful than Galaxy S3? Spec wise?
They are very similar in terms of CPU/GPU. Same quad core cortex-a9 although they have different GPUs with the Nexus 4's Adreno 320 slightly edging ahead of the S3's Mali-400.

only difference that would affect some people is that s3 has micro sd slot

If they bring out a 32 or 64GB version before I upgrade, I'll definitely be getting one.
It looks awesome and for £240 (8gb) it's amazingly good value too. My mate is going to sell his yearish old Galaxy S3 and get a Nex4 and shouldn't need to spend any more cash.
Similar specs to an S3 - £450 and an iPhone5 - £500 - but at half the price.
I'm very tempted myself but it's a little large for me. If they came out with a Nexus3 that had a 3 inch screen I'd be all over it!

well the launch was an absolute joke this morning, went on sale at around 8:10 am, and it wouldnt let me proceed to check out when it was in my basket :@ then sold out after about 30minutes
Yeah, seemed that the issue was with Google Wallet rather than the play store. Managed to snag one though:

Took ages to actually buy it though, had to keep spamming the button to purchase it until it eventually went through. Ended up being billed for £866.97 thought as due to my spamming it placed 3 orders lol.

well If you get 3 I'll happily buy one off you and pay for postage :P
I was nice and phoned them up to cancel the other 2 so other people had a chance at buying one :P
Although they said it still might take up to 10 days before I get the money back >.>

I only got mine like last month and didn't even know the new one was coming out, rather annoyed. Sticking with my Galaxy Nexus though for now. It does the job tbh.

Bit bizarre that they haven't enabled 4G on it then.
So what's it like? It seems my Nexus S has reached the end of the update line (won't get 4.2 officially), so thinking of requesting/asking for the Nexus 4 for Christmas or wait for the next Nexus (assuming another one is in the works..).
I think the thing that's putting me off it you can't take the back off easily and the battery is stuck in with some adhesive. I mean taking the battery out and in has helped me numerous times from frozen phones and what not :P

It is odd, that's one of the biggest selling points of many Android phones - particularly the Nexus range. It sort of ruins it, but at that price I suppose you can't complain :P
