im positive there was a thread that mentioned this stuff like last year, but i cant find it :(

can we get someway to tell us what comps have what prizes, i remember reading suggestions like prefixes and having custom post icons next to the thread title to symbol like vip or coins prize.

can we get one of these? i only want vip and theres no harm in having an icon to tell me rather than reading the thread *+*+

i know there was pm notifications AAAAAGES ago before i started using the forum actively but they were discontinued for some reason.

Yes yes yesss I thought that a [VIP] prefix might be quite nice for certain comps, but then I suppose there's a fear that people will ONLY enter the VIP competitions. Even though that's quite irrational 'cause other competitions still guarantee you Credits (if you win...).

As far as I've noticed, only Caption Phrase and [Graphics] award VIP, although I may be mistaken.

What prefixes would be good - fixed answer ones are obvious due to being closed etc?

The only competitions that I know of that give out VIP as a prize are the graphics ones. I swear VIP was given out in the caption one before too. Personally I don't think we need more prefixes for something that can quite clearly be answered by a click of a button.

prefixes look really ugly imo but i'm not sure how else you'd do it. perhaps users could receive a notification or something?

VIP prizes aren't just given in graphics comps so I think a little symbol thing could be quite a good/useful thing to have. Either that or the notification thing could be brought back so you know when they come out.

This looks quite cool to be honest.

It would be easier for users to see and get what they want. In my opinion, it isn't a massive problem to go and look in a thread anyway though? Thats just my opinion though.

Notifications could work as well, not actually sure why they were stopped so we'd have to have a look into that a little more.

Anyway would it help if say a thread was made each week outlining upcoming competitions and their prizes (for that week)? Not sure how practical it would be but would this be useful?
