im just wondering what you guys do/use to speed up your macbook pro? like cleaning apps, memory free, etc. anything to speed up processes like opening programs, loading videos, etc.

Nothing, it maintains it self. Just make sure you don't have a load of crud starting on login (System Preferences > Users > Login Items).

Tempted by an SSD for mine... although not sure if I'm willing to give u[ the 500GB HDD, that would speed it up no end.

im not very good with techie stuff haha, what does an SSD do for the macbook?
