I know all these outsourced mods are truly crap and are not like how they used to be. Usually if you create an inappropriate room name the MODs act a bit robot like, they just come in and close the room and then ban you. But today when I was just messing around, MOD-Stum came in, waved, sent me one of those pre made alerts giving you a warning telling me to change the room name. Then when I changed it he put up a sign with a :) on it. Most of the MODs act like robots and just ban.

Mod-Asnail or something came into Absently;'s room and did the same thing to me for a different reason. She sent me a warning for sexual conversation or something, waved and then blew me a kiss xxxxx then walked off. I don't think they're allowed to talk... sure that's been the reasoning for the past few months.

I'm sure it was brought up a few months ago that moderators aren't allowed to talk. If that is the case, not his/her fault but Sulake's.

I don't think they have been allowed to talk for sometime. I believe it's been posted on before actually but they can wave and whatever else.

MOD-Stum was very helpful earlier - asked him to remove a inappropriate room and he came straight away, waved I then thanked him and he smiled :) some useful help from the CFH for the first time in ages!

I assume they're not allowed to talk so it's impossible to argue with them in that room and you have to bring it up on help.habbo.com or something? Just a guess though.

I keep getting told that they can no longer talk, today MOD-Stum came into my room promotion and closed it and issued me a warning. However just as he was giving me the warning I said "I know, changing it now.." then he left and re-entered for awhile then left again. I had things blocking the door and he couldn't enter due to a group gate, so he might of gave me a smiley but I missed it.. QQ -cut

I was in a maze the other day and we couldn't get through cause of a blocker, and another of the people I was with reported them and I was about to say they won't do anything but give you a message, MOD-Stum walked in and kicked them for us & gave us the :) sign I was like *jaw drops* didn't expect that one bit lol, I'd written the staff off as useless awhile ago, guess some of them still like helping aha, even the small things. :p

Infact most MODs now seem to wave and show signs if you report an inappropriate room then say hi to them when they come in. Although MOD-Stum seems the nicest.
So far MOD-Stum, MOD-Asnial and MOD-Jmopmo have waved and shown signs when you speak to them.

I'm hearing a lot of allegations about MOD-Stum and choremet doing bad things. The most suspicious thing i've seen is that MOD-Stum has from 2-4 people in his room regularly.

I'm not trying to argue, I know it's perfectly possible to be true however anyone could make a rumor without proof. They could just have people in their rooms for normal reasons.

What reason would a MOD who's job is to moderate need people in his habbo room for? Its a job not his freetime.

A lot of people, especially on here complain that they are like robots and hardly interact and want it to be like how it was in the old times. It's perfectly possible that the people in his room are people hes just letting in to be friendly. Or that they are other MODs. There was a thread here which shown a screenshot of MOD-Stum and MOD-Choremet in his room talking with each other.

Yeah that was a screenshot I took. Still, they shouldn't be chatting with others in a locked room.

Talking as a moderator would just cause problems and more than likely distract them of their moderating duties

Back when I first started on Habbo AU (2005) all the mods used to talk and they used to host games and stuff. I remember sitting in one of the public rooms around midnight-ish and playing a game of battleship with MOD-Blueeyes. The mods were much more fun back then it seems.

How the heck do you get away with an Otaku group when half of the habbox staff get banned for advertising habbox, on grounds of it being a retro.

I wonder if they can't physically speak or it's simply a rule. A bit like how Moderators back in the old days "couldn't send or accept friend requests" but it wasn't actually coded like that, it was just a verbal rule.

Shorty
22-11-2012, 06:11 PM
It's simply a rule ^

As for the Otaku group, long story. It doesn't say "Otaku-Studios" anywhere as it's filtered I think and Otaku is defined as a meaning rather than a group based on OS. They're there for the event which for some reason they can't change.

They really do need the ability to be able to, to prevent the abuse of it.

These mods need to have more familiarity like they used to back in 05.

And actually review cases and abuse, not unfair bans.

I think that's how MODS should be. They shouldn't act like robots just looking like they hate their job and HAVE to do it, but they should enjoy doing it and have a bit more feelings to understand players and try to get them to like MODs.
