Do you enjoy Christmas more now, or when you was a kid?
I personally thought it was much better when i was a kid, when i was a believer. But now it's kind of i just wake up and go downstairs and open a few bits and bobs my parents bothered to get me. I love getting hyped up about it, but it's slightly disappointing on the day when it's not as magical as it used to be. I used to love it when i was a child!
What about you guys?

younger. there was more 'magic' to everything and a lot more effort on the families part was put into the equation. the build up to getting presents, the fun of the season and the general 'merry' feeling has gotten weaken as i've gotten older. plus, there are no young children in my immediate family, so no one has to put on the front. i'll probably enjoy it more when i have kids.

I think I was excited when I was younger, a bit decreased say about 14-16 but now I get excited by it. It's more mainly because it's Christmas, not because of the presents or anything I just really like it as a day to relax etc.
Conspiracy.

When I was a kid. I still love it but the magic has gone :( My sister is pregnant and the baby is due in June, so I'll be able to spoil the baby next Christmas and tell him/her how epic Christmas is :D

there are lots of parts of xmas i prefer now, the food, seeing the relatives, seeing everyone else open their presents, but the only thing i miss about xmas being a kid was being able to play with all my toys during midday, now there's a bit of a slump between xmas dinner and going to my aunties, but it really is my favourite day of the year!
nothing has really changed for me to be honest (apart from the believing in santa obvs) because now that i'm older i help organise things with the family which i would say makes up for the whole 'magical' thing when i was a kid. i'd deffo say i'm more into christmas spirit nowadays. when i was younger it was just all about the presents :P

when i was young shame i found out santa wasn't real so young i was like 5? walked into my parents bedroom and found prezzies everywhere kinda got rid of my christmas spirit.
Definitely younger. Lots of happy memories! Christmas/New Year has never been a bit of a sad time for my family since my granny died.

Obviously when I was younger, I think that's the case for most people. I think it's only when you have your own kids that the excitement of Christmas really comes back, lots of my friends who have children who're old enough to understand are sooo excited!

The actual Christmas day was more enjoyable when I was little but I love the build up to Christmas more now as I love decorating the house and organising/helping buy all the presents and secret santas etc leading up to the day rather than the actual day itself.

More so when I was a kid, it was just more magical. I still enjoy it these days but more for the right reasons rather than the gifts. :P
No christmas has been awful ever since I was a kid. My dad ruined it every Christmas because he can't control his drinking (he was an alcoholic).. This year might be ok since he doesn't drink anymore because 1. he has diabetes 2. mums left him loads of times and this is his last chance
I appreciate the christmas lights more now. I like them.

It used to be more of a surprise in terms of the gifts in the younger years and be more magical I suppose. But I do still enjoy Christmas as it's a great time of year to spend time with your family and stuff. Gifts are just a bonus.
i think i get more excited for winter now really, like back then i'd only get excited about it on the first of december, but now it's the thing i look forward to right after my birthday in the summer. :P i guess i enjoyed it more backj then though, because of 'santa' and all that
a bit more as a kid? Never really like it that much full stop.

about the same really, but I am a big kid at heart haha. Of course it was a bit more magical back then, but it can still be just as fun and exciting! :D

I miss the magic of waking up in the morning, racing to the Christmas tree and finding all these amazing presents.
I mean, cash and clothes and other stuff is cool. But nothing beats the emotion and feelings in my childhood.

Awww, Christmas as a kid was so much better, like others have said, it was more 'magical', sure it may have been based on a phony-baloney Santa, but who cares, that was apart of it. I used to always get up SUPER early (or is seemed to be so to me, cause my parents always slept in - or wanted to xD), scrounge about, look through my stocking and under the tree eagerly, run into my parents room, bang on the door, wake them up, bounce on the bed....
Sigh, I miss those days, I miss being a kid overall actually, so muh less care, blah blah, now it's like, Christmas.... ergh, what, *sleeps in* *wakes up, oh it's Christmas init.... *stays in bed awhile longer anyways* More or less, idrc anymore lmfao. Not even the idea of presents will drag my sorry ass outta bed any sooner than I wanna be.

I prefered to it when I was much younger.
I was never a believer, I always seen my presents wrapped up in my parents room.
But, I still looked forward to seeing what they got me. But, now it's a normal day for me, I miss struggling to sleep at night, to excited to see what I get. Now, I just wake up, go downstairs open whatever they egt me, get a photo taken here and there and then back to my PC, before leaving for work, then coming back and having my Christmas dinner then go back to my PC. Christmas is nothing compaird to what it used to be. Miss being young.
