I think they're nice looking, although the reason I used the other snowflakes when I designed Christmas 2011 was because they were more discrete (not as in your face), and I tried a bunch of them and found that they weren't that laggy. Unfortunately I find the new flakes to be far too visual when you initially load a page, and they're quite laggy!

Just checked both Christmas skins and they have the same snow for me.

xD Just noticed the new snow is the same as on my fansite.

Not sure if this is done on purpose, but you can set the snow to follow the page, it doesn't stay only at the top then :P

yeah I think it was only happening because I had my mouse on my second monitor while the page was loading
