Just thought of another one. People playing their **** music on public transport. even when theyre wearing headphones you can still hear it. just remembered about this, it can be really distracting although when its a good song, i cant help but tap my foot along with it lol

Oh god. Every time I walk onto a bus (which is multiple times every day) I immediately get punched in the face with loud obnoxious rap music. Some folks have absolutely no regard for the people around them, or for their own well being. Sometimes there's mothers with little children riding on the bus and someone is blasting the most sleazy rap music polluted with unnecessary vulgar language.

If you ever hear mine, you're welcome.
I don't think my music can really be heard though which is a shame because everyone should be allowed to experience some good music.. ;/
ALSO THEY SHOULD BAN THOSE TV SHOWS PLAYED AT LIKE 1AM AND STUFF LIKE "BUY THIS MINI FRIDGE JUST £19999999" AND YOU'RE WAY TOO TIRED TO NOTICE IT'S AN AWFUL DEAL AND JUST BUY IT. i can think of so many other things that could be put on tv instead of that

Although I would happily ban Nicki Minaj's music just so I would never have to listen to it again (or look at her boobs again (have you seen her videos? They're boob city)), I still think people should be entitled to their own taste in music, but it's a personal taste, and I don't think other people should have to be forced to endure it.

I'd just be educating ears. ;-) Then again I think my new head phones are great and don't allow anyone to hear my music, whereas before, my headphones allowed everyone to hear my music even when it was on the quietest setting and it was easier to hear the music without the headphones in my ears.. should never buy cheap headphones I guess. :(

I'd agree if it would work. But look at all the drugs that are illegal that people still take, smoke etc.
Also, isn't the tax insanely high on cigarettes? If they were no longer sold then the money would have to get into the economy through a way that would screw over non-smokers. At least this way they have to payfor their filthy bad habit.
In the end though, I agree to smoking and alcohol consumption.

Smoking in public is absolutely horrible. Not only do non-smokers have to inhale the horrid stuff, but we end up smelling of it too.
Alcohol just causes problems and is just as bad of a drug as current illegal drugs. The amount of people taking up time in A+E because they decided to be a prat when they were drunk is also a bit ridiculous. There's just no need for alcohol really.

here smoking is already banned at beaches, parks, patios, and even ur own car if you have children in it.
before it was allowed even in restaurants and not too long ago there was smoking sections in the casino
so its not that bad imo they already banned it enough.
as for drinking
a lot of people only drink on occasion or the odd time

The only thing to say is freedom - that, thankfully, society doesn't orbit around what smells and sights you happen like.
Also to declare my interest in this, i'm not a smoker and haven't even tried a cigarette once in my life - yet the responses from non-smokers to people smoking are so over dramatic and exaggerated that it's cringeworthy to read that people could get themselves so worked up over a whiff of tobacco smoke. I find the smell of grotty fast food restaurants, the foul smell of dog poo/dogs in general and piss-soaked public toilets more of a pressing 'issue' if you want to have a campaign over smells in the public sphere.

A great deal of people find homosexuality, modern architecture, religion, dogs, cats, the Labour Party, the Conservative Party, the Sun newspaper, betting shops, ghastly public art sculptures, football, celebrity worship and many other things 'nasty' - should we ban those too? A great deal of the things above aren't to my taste, but make them illegal?
The amount of people taking up time in A+E because they decided to be a prat when they were drunk is also a bit ridiculous.
Well that's only a problem because we have state healthcare (the NHS), if we didn't and had private healthcare, meaning you pay for your own stupidity/mistakes in terms of hiked insurance costs, then we wouldn't have to worry about what other people get upto and we could all live happily ever after.
The cause of public health costs isn't too much freedom, it's the fact we're all forced to pay for the select few idiots who don't look after themselves.

Yes, I have drank before - but whats the point in getting so drunk that you can't even control yourself? It's just an issue. And as for smoking, it would still bother me that people smoke in the streets :P I don't see why people are getting hung over some things, since this is just a theoretical question. I'm not exactly going to protest about these things, since I'm pretty sure most people would be against my views, than for them :)
