Hmm, customer support are awful they've banned my account "Nige" for an inappropriate username.
I emailed them asking why, they responded by saying I've requested a username change, when I haven't.
I then emailed them again telling them I haven't requested a username change at all, then I get this reply (picture below)
They are hopeless can anyone direct me to Paul's email via PM or help me out - would be extremely grateful.

I've had 3 different support people take hold of this case, it's clearly a shambles.
I have no idea whom to contact now as Customer Services are dreadful and haven't a clue what they're doing I've "tweeted" to Paul on Twitter but I have no idea about social networking sites LOL!!! So he might not even have it!!

Just keep trying through cs. He gets a bit angry if help tool stuff gets sent to his email. Should of seen the reply he gave to Jake;!

Nope, because when I asked if anyone had requested it "Katharina" said no, so there is something going on here - if they suggesting you can't have your real name as your username then surely every other Habbo who has their name as their username should be banned, in theory right?

Like I said previously it could be due to the first 3 letters as it's a shortened version of a racial term. This however, doesn't explain how you've played, what 10-12 years and only just received it now? You don't use the name in any racial or abusive way so I would keep reporting it, it's not on!

I have made several attempts to contact customer support, so can you please advise me to why it hasn't been sorted? I appreciate your not a help line but I felt I had no choice but to contact you as your player support staff have failed to assist me on a number of occasions.

Your information is protected, that is a high priority of ours. I don't understand how drivers licenses were asked for, etc. I asked for some clarification from our team.

The thing that worries me is the fact that my friend has been receiving phone calls from 'hackers' they managed to get his details from the help tool and you're telling me the information I give you is safe? You've been saying you want the best for users - so when a user asks for their PERSONAL information to be removed it should be... right?
I mean, the database was only leaked a couple of months ago so how can you tell me that my information is safe?

That is not what you said in your first mail so we're not going to have and extended conversation here. First it is your drivers license, now it is your friend and a hacker account. I have forwarded your information you will hear from customer service in due course. Let's leave it at that.

Fair enough I appreciate that you have forwarded on this issue, can I just know how they will be contacting me? Also with the information I have about various other issues regarding to hackings and corrupt Habbo's would it be appropriate for me to email
[email protected] with all the info I have regarding different security matters? Because trust me, I have a lot of information which needs to be shared as I feel customer support are oblivious to certain matters.

Why can't they simply just change the name to a default and let you choose a new name with a fair warning? Although Nige is not in the dictionary, its a short for Nigel right? Explain that to them.

I'm awaiting a reply, yes Nigel is my name but Nige for "short" as people would say.
I've explained it all to them, as you've properly read prior to this Customer Services are dreadful.

The customer support agent that I got was also Antonieta, and I got myself unbanned for that, not sure why she isn't being straight forward. Good luck :)

I'm pretty disgusted to be honest, Customer Support is awful, the owner of Habbo/Sulake also thinks a persons name is an offensive term, this is the first I've heard.

I'd accept the ban if It was implanted when the name was crated. However I believe you stated that you've had this name for years, so I'd be pretty annoyed too.

Well in all respects it's very pittyful, banning someone for having their real life name as their username, either way I don't really care now, Habbo is a failed business now and also just lost another "monthly-paying" user.

last year they offered me a name change (yurre told them to) and i got my name changed for an account so you could try that if there is no alternative left

They are only willing to change my username, otherwise the ban will remain there, so I have no option to change my username, I've put forward my new username to them and awaiting to hear back, sadly I've missed half the xmas quests now.

The problem with a name change is that there could be only ones left you don't wish to use, afterall you've hd it 12 years surely that should account for something.

Yes, he messaged me via DM (i think you call it on twitter) and said it was too "alike" to a racist term... SOMEWHAT?
I totally disagree and he said the ban will stand without further comment, I replied saying
"I've had the account 12 years and not once had a ban on the account let alone a perm ban and now you think someone's name is a bannable offence?"
... then he blocked me.

I also explained that to customer services, they didn't have a clue and just kept replying saying I can opt for a username change only.
They are basically saying;
1. They know nothing about a country
2. They don't know Nige is a short hand name for Nigel
3. They're employed as a bunch of idiots

Awe that sucks as you went from a Rare name to, well a name with a number in it.

I know, I've lost my account 12 year old, with a unique username for a crap one. I'm grateful I'm unbanned so I'll move on and just keep going, regardless it's only a pixel game - hardly a loss. I have my 13t back so I'm happy.

Gosh, reading about this situation really fires me up. The customer service sounds horrible, and it seems like they have no idea what they're doing. At least you got your account back!

Similar thing happened to my account 'Booze', though I only created it in 2011 and had been using it for around a year when I got permed for having an "inappropriate" username, apparently now days we're not even allowed to make reference to alcohol? Or so says customer support, yet then, I see variety of account names walking about that are quite clearly in direct reference to alcohol - like Vodka or Wine and yet... they're still roaming the hotel? Lol, smh. I also eventually got it back, and had to rename it also, sucks so much -.-'
